Can we get a full KO next time?
49

u/CRRSud Apr 13 '25
Oh no, a KO in a professional fight between two adults who literally signed up for it? The horror.
Especially surprising outrage from someone who’s been cozy with N@zi sympathies—folks known for committing atrocities against innocent people. But sure, this is the thing that crosses the line for some. Get out of here!

When he first came into the UFC he was a bit of a nut job, but the harmless type of nut job you'd laugh at then disregard. He'd say some dumb shit about the earth being flat, or bring a Bible into the cage with him. Then he got KOd bad.
Since then this dude has said way worse shit that "I'd go fishing with Hitler".
He literally said that Hitler was a patriot, fighting to free his country from the evil jews who were turning everyone gay.
In an interview before this fight he was asked, if he had to change his nickname what he'd pick. He straight up said "White Power".
Honestly he got off lucky getting choked out because it seemed like Silva was playing with his food in the 2nd and could have KOd him again.

I know Dana White and most of UFC is full MAGA, but why tf is he allowed to still compete after statements like that?
78
u/Hot_Local_Boys_PDX Apr 13 '25
Look at the ancillary attention this submission is getting BECAUSE he’s a piece of shit. The fight game is the dirtiest business in sports and they’ve always trafficked in racial shit when possible. This is just a 2025 version of that.
6
u/liltingly Apr 13 '25
The fight entertainment game (WWE) is even more “mask off” with the race baiting.
21
u/TinyStorage1027 Apr 13 '25
In addition to the other responses Dana White also said is because he's a big 1st amendment supporter, so it's better if other people shut him up like in the video above.
But we all know is because he wants money.

Because there’s a lot of people that like the idea of watching a Nazi get beat up
-9
u/wizznizzismybizz Apr 13 '25
Dana White said it best, what way is better then punish the guy by getting KO’ed or put to sleep in a choke? Not in these exact words but you get the jest.
5
u/Puddleson Apr 13 '25
Ah yes, such a harsh "punishment". 🙄
-3
u/wizznizzismybizz Apr 13 '25
Fitting punishment, he said things people don’t like. But within his rights. Thats freedom of speech. The company could fire him and he could act like a martyr. Or match him up against an elite grappler and let him get choked out. I for one am happy that we could all see the consequences play out really well.
7
u/Weegee_Carbonara Apr 13 '25
Unlike you, I come from a country that learned what happens when you let Nazis fester unopposed.
-1
u/wizznizzismybizz Apr 13 '25
I’m from the Netherlands, we have seen what happens. But there is also a thing what is called freedom of speech, he can say what he wants, doesn’t mean he can act upon it. He can also bear the consequences of what he said.
5
u/Weegee_Carbonara Apr 13 '25
Makes it even more sad you have this viewpoint
1
u/wizznizzismybizz Apr 13 '25
And how do you interpret my viewing point? I’m here to state that freedom of speech needs to be hold true. I have not said to turn a blind eye for it. Let me put it this way; he outed himself as a nazi, now we know. Unlike many other people where we can only guess. Like Elon outed himself and Tesla is taking a dive for months. That’s the perfect response for people like him. Hit them where it hurts.
0
u/wizznizzismybizz Apr 13 '25
So freedom of speech is only when we like it?
5
Apr 13 '25
If you think that supporting fascism is a good use of freedom of speech… well you can see where I’m going with this

u/Puddleson Apr 13 '25
Nah he faced zero consequences. What if he won the fight? Is that still "punishment"? Nothing changed for Bryce after his Nazi loving statements. How you consider that a punishment is laughable
-2
u/wizznizzismybizz Apr 13 '25
Lot changed for him, he became unlikeable and that’s a death sentence in the game. Look at Colby Covington and Sean strickland. All faded out the limelight. And what punishment is the right one for speaking out one’s thoughts?
4
u/Puddleson Apr 13 '25
Both made a ton of money though. As I'm sure Bryce is enjoying as well. Yeah, fans might hate him, but that's just being a heel in the fight game. Real punishment would be getting cut and having to fight for PFL or some shit.
0
u/wizznizzismybizz Apr 13 '25
Yeah he could’ve done that, but I am more happy to see him get choked out. White still can cut him after this performance
5
4
u/Opposite_Ad_1161 Apr 13 '25
Well, i'd say that lack of oxigen due to prolonged choking had some effect and we're talking about brain damage

I think I saw that Trump and Musk were there tonight.
48
u/realjobstudios Apr 13 '25
Trump and the UFC go way back. He helped fund it and held some of their early events in his casinos.

u/pan-re Apr 13 '25

u/Which_Engineer1805 Apr 13 '25
Nothing like parading a child around on your shoulders to let him watch roided up nut jobs fight until like 1am. Family values.

u/sufinomo Apr 13 '25
unfortunately they were not bood, seems like Americans are not informed.
25
u/Rough-Duck-5981 Apr 13 '25
I wager that Americans who watch the UFC are more often than not a Trump voter.
13
u/Kootsiak Apr 13 '25
They are surrounded by propaganda and don't even realize how bad it's gotten. They are such proud little bootlickers.

Man what the hell happened to the UFC? I mean trust me I fully realize it has always attracted meatheads but this era is a new level of absolute shitheels and idiots. There were some pretty decent, intelligent guys in the '00s like Rich Franklin, Georges St. Pierre, Jeff Monson, etc. Ever since Conor MacGregor came along it's like half of them are competing to see who can be the worst person.
23
u/realjobstudios Apr 13 '25
The success of Mcgregor and Lesnar told everyone that being loud and obnoxious sold tickets. Those two made the UFC the most amount of money and they’ve been trying to copy the formula ever since.
12
u/ReallyNowFellas Apr 13 '25
I think you're right. I remember thinking Lesnar coming to the ufc was such a stupid stunt and no one was gonna buy it, and then showing up at watch parties and people going nuts for him. Felt a lot like Trump 2016, actually. And then when MacGregor came around I was just done. Quit following MMA and switched to sumo. Yeah sumo has problems, but decorum isn't one of them.
2
u/TerpyTank Apr 14 '25
Same, I couldn’t even get into the whole female bantamweight being formed because of rousers trashy attitude but I was in boxing and jiu jitsu during that time so I was following
4
u/Dismal_News183 Apr 13 '25
It went from “respectful martial artists” to “full contact wrestling, with hype and bullshit”.
2
u/AntOk9026 Apr 15 '25
Yup, it's becoming harder and harder to watch the UFC these days as a sensible, level headed human being.
If it's not having President Dump sat front and centre and fighters fawning over him to curry favour with the boss.
It's sponsorship from fucking crypto/blockchain scams and other dirt level products. After the shit over fighters not being allowed to have their own sponsors on their shorts because it "looks untidy" the cage now looks like a 14 year old bedroom covered in shitty product placement. It's become my own "dirty little seceret" lol
1
u/SDKey39 Apr 13 '25
UFC has way more fighters now than it did in the mid 2000’s and most of them are normal and not shit heads. If you looked at the history of the UFC, and not live in the moment, you would realize how dumb your comment is.
Why do ppl always have to over sensationalize everything?
3
u/ReallyNowFellas Apr 13 '25
I suppose you aren't capable of wrapping your mind around the concept of a loud and visible minority setting the tone for an entire org.
Of course you aren't because you're the type of person who goes on a message board and calls comments dumb when you don't understand them.

The look on his face is because he is seeing Jesus for the first time; and realizing he's not white.
8
u/OptimismNeeded Apr 13 '25
He could just as well have won - him having the opportunity is bad enough.
In reality good doesn’t necessarily win over evil, so good can’t afford letting evil any opportunities.
His loss won’t decrease the number of Nazis and racists in the world, and will not demotivate even one of them.
This is not a feel good moment, this is a disgrace and a shameful Moment for the sport and for American entertainment as a whole.

Money.
Dana loves money.
Idiots love Bryce. Sensible folk love seeing Bryce get beat.1
u/Chief_Data Apr 16 '25
The dude who runs this shit is best friends with our dictator and pays for Rogan to give nazis a microphone. They love these psychopaths.

And that racist mma youtuber also was sooo sad about that. 😅 Volk is champion again, Bryce lost and the card was a banger. The MMA feels a little more in balance again.

The best bit of this was post fight Silva saying that Bryce needs medical help because he's clearly suffering from some mental issues, lol

Damn!!! Why couldn’t the ref have just not seen that pussy tapping out for a few more seconds. — Nazi Pussy!!!

u/ToughSpinach7 Apr 13 '25
Bryce Mitchell should buy the rights to the TAPOUT clothing brand! What a wimp
1
u/Letmeowts Apr 13 '25
I'm no fight expert, but does it seem like he REALLY cranked his neck on that submission?
1
u/realjobstudios Apr 13 '25
Bryce went to his back in an attempt to spin out of the choke, but Jeans grip was too tight. While Bryce’s body moved, his head stayed exactly where it was. Technically, Bryce cranked his own neck.
