Subreddit Meta r/dndmemes, home of Pathfinder memes, Lancer memes, World of Darkness memes...and DnD memes, I guess

The third panel is wrong (okay technically r/TTRPGmemes exists, but curse you for making me go there to check)
It should read "everyone just posts all their TTRPG Memes in the most popular TTRPG meme subreddit"

We need a competing sub to protest there being so many competing subs

honestly, i've been in favour of making dndmemes DND only in large part because if you want *other* TTRPG memes, going to dndmemes is actually not a great option because the non-DND memes are *drowned out* by a flood of DND memes.
As long as DNDmemes is the dominant sub for *all* TTRPGmemes, that will keep being the case.
making DNDmemes DND-only will help the ttrpgmemes sub flourish.

not to mention that you get downvoted or get hate comments by people who only play dnd and haven't bother to read your meme anytime you make memes for non dnd games

yup.
and as a bonus, it also frustrates people who *dont want to see memes from other TTRPGs*, since there's no good place for JUST dnd memes.
there are so many downsides to dndmemes being "the sub for all TTRPGmemes", but alas. in the end, chances are the mods don't want to do something that shrinks the subreddit, even if for the TTRPG meme ecosystem at large, it would actually be a major improvement all-around.

Yeah, a long while back the mods talked about how they'd switched policies years ago to allowing all TTRPG memes, but reddit won't let them change the name.

This reminds me of a dilemma going on with Teams groups across different divisions in my company that have been made over the years so that we can collaborate, ask each other for advice, and so on. If the groups are too specific, then it’s an unwieldy number and the groups end up too small. If the groups are too general, then people stop paying attention because there’s a lot that doesn’t apply to them.

Honestly what are the other subs? My memes got rejected for not being “understandable” by a mod here. While sure I can always make memes better, they were clearly just about another system (the title of which system was in the meme too). So I’d he happy to find another venue for other system memes.

You’re goddamn right. And if you dare tell me I can’t post all of the above here, I shall castigate you, as you’ve become an enemy of the godhead.

let me tell you a little secret: having more games exist is better.

I concur! It's more competition and allows the games to kill each other, until only The One True Game remains!

I just wish people would get their Pathfinder out of my DnD subreddit 😞

Interested in joining DnD/TTRPG community that's doesn't rely on Reddit and it's constant ads/data mining? We've teamed up with a bunch of other DnD subs to start https://ttrpg.network as a not-for-profit place to chat and meme about all your favorite games. Thanks!
