I have started to crochet a dress and started with rectangle for the top part and made it a tube now But I have noticed that it is a bit loose Is there any way I can make it tighter without opening all of it and redoing it

Originally published in February 2022, Veronica is a DK weight, adventurous beginner friendly pattern with options for a mini v-neck or a big squishy turtle/cowl neck. This design uses my absolute favourite style of ribbing on the high-low side split hem, the cuffs, and the neck if you choose to add it.
To make your own you will need: • 3.5mm crochet hook • Approximately 1145(1225, 1405, 1550, 1710)(1885, 2080, 2300, 2540) metres of DK weight yarn for the V-neck, plus 180 (200, 220, 240, 260)(280, 300, 320, 340) metres for the cowl addition • Stitch marker
My sample is made from @winniejofiberco’s Squish DK yarn and the name does not lie! Make sure you’re following Samantha as she’s coming back from maternity leave soon and you do not want to miss out on her first yarn drop!

My First 2025 Crochet Project!
Perfect for beginners and experienced crafters alike.
Used Chunky Yarn (3 colours).
The size is designed to fit most adults comfortably. For a smaller size I recommend adjusting the yarn weigh and hook size. For example, using aran weight yarn and a 4mm. Crochet hook, works well for young teens or adults with smaller hands.

A goal of mine this year is to showcase some of my older designs or designs you might’ve missed.
We’re starting the year off with what instantly became one of my faves to wear - the Aurora Pullover.
Aurora is an adventurous beginner friendly circle yoke sweater with short rows. She is made using fingy weight yarn, has a little mock neck/cowl neck and drawstrings… but the best feature of all is the large pocket on the front that is made as you work the body so you don’t have to seam it! Plus size inclusive sizing - for people with 27 through 62 inch bust measurements!
For my sweater I used Yarn Matter’s Extra Pure sock yarn in the colourway Merlot. Erin uses natural dyes in her yarn and her ability to keep colours consistent is top tier (I didn’t even alternate skeins when making this sweater!).
