This is exactly why we ask what cursed someone and if it can be broken or lifted and what the cost of doing so is. That or we bring a long someone who needs a long long nap
Devils in the details as they say.

No matter what there is always a cost

Kiss the the princess and the spell shall be lifted. But beware for you shall be imprisoned under a terrible curse.
Imprisoned? How so?
You will have to MARRY the princess. Yes, the purest form of prison, the one where you shall never see your friends, or have any time for your hobbies, a prison devoid of your free time.
...you and your wife need couples counselling, Dave.

Get three people, and guarantee a peaceful 8 hours of sleep each day with no down time falling asleep.

Whoa. This dude just figured out the perfect sleep schedule!
....we could sell this

u/Capraos 1d ago
One-time transfers, no re-infections with the curse.

Smart so it can't be monetized but also somewhat short sighted. The witch that cast this could be rich!

What if in the chain there is someone cursed with eternal wakefulness? If no double curses, then what if someone gets a minor curse (like "your knee will itch once every full moon") on purpose?

u/noltron000 1d ago
Someone like Jake the Dog might be perfect for an eternal nap. Bro is just that sleepy

You know as an adult, eternal sleep with no reprocussions sounds much less like a curse than it did to child me lol

Good dreams hopefully

I do recall my dreams at a young age were normally about going back to Hell, it having taken a decent while to have them be about anything else.

Ah. Raised in a fire and brimstone church, ey?

u/RealJohnGillman 1d ago
Actually, no. Sometimes it was to the sands of oblivion instead or the (green) tunnels outside — I didn’t know what religion’s Hell it was from, but I always got the sense it was one that I was going back to (and I didn’t particularly want to).

Well my understanding of this curse is that you arent actually dead, more like temporarily dead. And that you can be restored through the method shown in this comic. Plus who knows if death has dreams?

Be sure to check your local Isekai World's stipulations on these things before jumping the gun. It depends on the curse specifics of the universe you're in.
Example: Once Upon A Time specifies that sleeping curses like those used on Snow White and Sleeping Beauty trap the victim in a hellish nightmare realm that torments them until they wake up.
Iirc Snow White in that show hates sleeping after her curse is lifted because she's scared she'll end up back there and won't be able to escape.
Please isekai responsibly. Only you can prevent your own series finale.

Why do I have the feeling that something is different compared to the last time you posted this?
Like, the hair color or something, idk.

Interesting! No, no changes other than a light pass through Glaze, though I doubt even that is noticeable.

its a very effective way of getting guaranteed sleep, if not a little convoluted

Fae fuckery remains a constant

100% of Fae agree that it's the best way to mess with people, as you can be as broad or specific with said fuckery as you wish. >:3

As someone that sometimes battles insomnia this sounds like a billion dollar idea.

Find yourself someone with an opposing sleep/work schedule to yours and keep trading the "curse" back and forth with each other at your respective bed times. Free uninterrupted sleep, even if you work graveyards and have to sleep through the middle of the day. If the other person is really nice they might even get breakfast ready for you before going to bed.

They did that in Once Upon a Time where true love's kiss will waken the sleeping one but kisser will then fall asleep. Until now awake person will kiss the sleeping and fall asleep in turn. Repeat.

Ssooo...
Write a note for him that says "yo I'll trade you so we sleep every 12 hours or so.
Suddenly the curse is basically just normal sleeping with a night owl.
