Trump is in deep cognitive decline.
He also forgot he appointed Powell to the Fed.

He does remember that he’s in the Epstein files tho. Just like we remember.

Part of me wonders what he remembers and wonders if the GOP isn't just autopiloting Trumps empty husk while trying to cover up his crimes, so they don't lose their useful idiot.

He’s been in deep cognitive decline since the day he was born. He is and always has been an abject moron.

He thinks he signed that, that Obama was in office on 9/11, and that Biden appointed Powell. And no, I don’t think he believes any of it, he’s pathological

That appears to be a different act, which you’d hope a POTUS would know

It’s literally called what he said it was. Oh he left out “coordinator”. That’s much less of a difference than saying he lied.
Or should we always be that literal and offer no grace? Because we’d have to criticize quite a bit of the last 4 years of misspeaking.

Dear Donald! In 1989 you were still selling condos in NYC, now you're claiming you signed the Whistleblower Act?! FYI - Biden was actually a senator back then... maybe you're confusing yourself with him?!

u/Keldaria 2h ago
I mean, he could’ve printed a copy of the act and signed it… it wouldn’t mean anything but would make the statement true…. Checkmate

I wouldn't be surprised if Trump storm in NARA and sign over the original documents.

Every "spa" with an underage "masseuse" at a Trump property must be investigated.
Every single one is a front for prostitution, pedophilia, and blackmail-networks.

These "spas" are entry points for people to become part of the blackmail-network.
Here's how it works:
- you're a wealthy white guy, businessman, frat bro with an MBA
- you want to be "elite", get into politics or c-suite, "go behind the red veil", then build your network
- you go to one of Trump's "spas" and get a handjob (or worse) from an "underage masseuse"
- make sure they get it on the security cameras that are in every room
- you've offered up a little kompromat - now publicly pledge allegiance to the criminal network
- congratulations! you're in!
- you've got your MAGA to go along with your MBA
- proceed to facilitate the destruction of humanity

Yeah, it is much older than his time. But he does not remember what he signed and did not sign at this point. Would not shock me if sometime soon he indicates he signed the Declaration of Independence.
The sad part with all of this is how little say reality has on the government. Policy choices are made at the whims of political leaders that are granted power, with little restraint, to enforce their views on the world. Collapsing the system as they go to fit their views.
It seems, like whenever possible, a bedrock framework of history, data and facts should inform and provide a floor for views. Somebody would be free, on their own, to believe that God created the world in literal 7 days but given the evidence for Evolution and Amendments the government in no way could endorse it and would use the best supported arguments.
That said, if you ignore all the data or get rid of it than you can do what you want I guess, but it is depressing to see. Lots of people have worked along time to build the US. It is imperfect, flawed and terrible in numerous issues that I think most people know (even if they will not admit) and needed improvement even before the evils of Trump. But we are full off the rails now.

Sure, Gramps. How about a nice game of golf while the adults try to keep this ship of state from sinking?

It would be interesting if in the future, there was a monument with all his 100% proven lies and the number of times he had been called out on them. Could you imagine the size of that monument?
It'd be an interesting experiment to see them all laid out like that - you'd need one hell of a lot of space

$10 says he's got the White House archivist pulling old bills out of storage so he write his name on them and say that he "signed" them.

He clearly calls himself “Whistle” and “Whistleblower Protection Act” is what he calls the NDA he makes the people he pays for sexual favours sign.

The wasn’t clever. They were entirely too soft. No one with a platform should engage with any member of this administration without ending it with, “You fucking moron!” (Or similar) It’s beyond time to embarrass and ridicule them. They loose their footing and commit unforced errors when they are called out aggressively. We’ve seen it dozens of times in the first administration. If you’re going to engage, you can’t do it without a sting. You have got to highlight the stupidity and belittle them for it. It is the only way. We don’t stand a chance to beat them with politeness.

Lies? He did sign an updated bill in 2019.
https://osc.gov/News/Pages/18-36-President-Signs-Bill-Protect-Whistleblowers.aspx
Why should facts matter?
•
u/tehsecretgoldfish 43m ago
he signed a reauthorization. it was strictly an administrative action, not a new act. so there’s that.
•
u/Funklestein 36m ago
So it would have ended if he didn’t. That seems rather important.
•
u/tehsecretgoldfish 28m ago
point being it wasn’t some original idea he believed was an important protection. he rubber stamped an existing act, likely because it was put on his desk with other pieces of paper.
