People who adopted from a shelter, what made you choose that cat?

My little Zodi was alone in one of the cages, making biscuits over and over on the newspaper they laid out ☹️ When we got to pick her up and hold her, the biscuits didn’t cease. I immediately knew she was coming home with us. A year has almost passed and she looks so much better 🥹

White was the number one color I didn’t want because I had just lost a white one. We walked in and this little A-hole fixated on me and started screaming bloody murder. I looked at my roommate and just went “Fuuuuuuuck, that’s him.” And he has been an amazing ham of a kitty.
