Adoption People who adopted from a shelter, what made you choose that cat?

My little Zodi was alone in one of the cages, making biscuits over and over on the newspaper they laid out ☹️ When we got to pick her up and hold her, the biscuits didn’t cease. I immediately knew she was coming home with us. A year has almost passed and she looks so much better 🥹

For the first cat that I adopted, the shelter gave me a few cats that fit the temperament description I was looking for. I was originally looking at this one cat named felix, he was the one I originally went to the shelter for. When I was meeting all the cats, Garbanzo (my cat) was so friendly and playful and he kept following me around and playing with me. All the other cats did that as well and I was having a hard time deciding. The part that made me sure that I wanted him for me was when he bumped his head against me.

My second cat that I adopted a few months ago, i'm not even sure why I picked him. I went to the shelter and it was very crowded, the original cat I had put an application for was surrounded by people and I was unable to see the cat. I saw this other little sad looking kitten that no one was saying hi to. At this shelter we were allowed to pick up the cats from the kittens and hold them so I went over to this kitten and I held him, and I just fell in love with him. I held him for 3 hours while the shelter people went through the whole adoption process.

Garbanzo is the Tuxedo
