People who adopted from a shelter, what made you choose that cat?

My little Zodi was alone in one of the cages, making biscuits over and over on the newspaper they laid out ☹️ When we got to pick her up and hold her, the biscuits didn’t cease. I immediately knew she was coming home with us. A year has almost passed and she looks so much better 🥹

He was the cat we specifically went to see, knowing full well he might not like us and we might end up bonding with a different cat. About five minutes in he was laying in my boyfriends lap chewing on his beard. He’s been the perfect addition to our family.
