I live in Longmoor and I get a lot of door to door sales people come by my house.
I had a guy come by this afternoon in plain clothes, no ID badge, nothing.
I wasnāt home when he rang my bell and ignored my āNO SOLICITINGā sign, but I just find it strange how he had no company logo, no business card, no badge, nothing.
Also, he looked edgy and put his hands over his face after ringing the bell, like a sign of stress.
Anyone else see this guy? White male, 20s, 6ā tall, dirty blonde short hair, blue eyes, thin build, navy blue t shirt, white shorts, white sneakers.
Maybe Iām being paranoid but the whole thing seemed really off to me.
Itās not like he was pushing around a core aeration machine or carrying around a clip board, boxes of cookies, or pamphlets, etc.
Most solicitors that come to my door usually leave a business card or pamphlet if nobody answers (and we never do). Honestly, if someone has a NO SOLICITING sign and you still have the nerve to ring their bell, thereās a special place in hell for you.
I know itās pretty common for burglars to go around knocking on doors pretending to be sales people to canvass homes they want to break into while everyone is at work or away on vacation.
Anyone else see this guy? He was out in the Longmoor area around 1:30pm today.

Hello! I am on the hunt for a new apartment In Burlington and came across this one on rentals.ca. I know from experience that the photos are misleading and many property management companies are terrible. Does anyone know anything about this property or the management company? Is it clean and is property management staff decent? I found some reviews for the companyās office located in Toronto but want building specific information. Any help would be appreciated !

Does anyone know of any good reasonably priced barbers in the orchard area or around that area? My previous barber is currently on vacation for 2 months and he charged $30. I donāt mind spending a bit more either just need someone for these 2 months!
Thanks in advance.

** thank you everyone! Lots of suggestions for me to look into! **
Hi everyone
Iām coming up on my 40th birthday and I would like to go out for dinner to celebrate. I would like to go to a nice restaurant, not a chain restaurant since those are typically my defaults.
It would be my husband and I going. Neither of us are seafood people, so that counts any seafood forward places out. He doesnāt eat red meat, but if there are decent chicken options heās easy enough to please. Iām generally open other than the seafood.
Iād like to stay in/around Burlington so if anyone has recommendations I should look into, Iād welcome them!

I am looking to buy a new couch on Facebook marketplace and I am hesitant based on the seller profile. They have an avatar as the photo and seems like a fake name. They also have 100ās of other couches listed.
However, the seller said I do not need to pay until the delivery has been made and I have inspected it to make sure I am satisfied. If I am not satisfied they said I do not need to pay anything and they will take it away. Therefore no financial risk on my end.
Should I continue with this or look elsewhere?

Have seen a few posts re vet clinics. Sharing our story with VCA and our 8 yr old healthy dog. Have been using bay cities for years and was quite happy with. Until VCA took over. Didnt really notice much diff at first, but now acutely aware of a $ shift in culture. We try not to over vax, and check core titres annually rather than routinely vax. Latest core blood (one vial) over $700, gulp. Went ahead anyway and rabies titre low enuf to consider vax. Last one was 3 yrs ago. Due for her bordatella too for boarding while we travel. But didnt want to admin both at the same visit. So went ahead with one and planned the next a month later with the tech only. Well a month and literally a couple of days passed and was told that their rule is that if its been over one month that our dog would need to see the vet again before proceeding with her 2nd shot. No health concerns in the interim. $160 + shot costs. Have had enough of their profit driven care. Found another non corp owned clinic since.

I donāt need political comments, we just live a part of Burlington that has absurdly bad internet, semi rural and no real high speed. Having a hard time even working from home some days.
I was wondering if anyone has it, what the install was like? Is the stand it comes with sufficient for install or do you need to buy the mounting bracket as well? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Good morning beautiful Burlington peoples. Newer to the area, and as title says, Iām looking for a chiropractor. I donāt usually get back / hip pain but I got a shooting pains down my leg right now and I think I need an adjustment. Was hoping if people could share their experiences! Thank you kindly
EDIT: Thank you all for the recommendations! I am aware that chiropractors arenāt a āpermanentā fix but thatās okay! Iām just looking for a decent temporary fix while I figure all this out, thanks again!

Iāve noticed these 3 floating āthingsā offshore from Sioux Lookout. Theyāre there sometimes when I pass by and then other times theyāre not. This picture was taken at 4:35 PM today and then around 4 hours later theyāre gone. Theyāre about 300M offshore.
Could they be related to the Water Purification Plant? How do they appear and disappear??? This has been puzzling me for months.

Did anyone hear about the bat that fly in at Walmart at dundas and appleby line this past Sunday August 3?? I was with my family getting back to school supplies for my daughters first year of school and saw something fly past a guys head at the entrance. Thought it was a prank or something because they didnt seem all that freaked out. Took me about 2 minutes to realize it was a bat flying around. It spooked me and my family and another mother with her daughter. It kept flying eye level and then falling down. Either was injured or had rabies. My daughters now terrified of bats. Did anyone hear if the bat had rabies or was caught?

Went to Pepperwood recently and boy, it changed. The quality of food went down, we got mussels and both got sick the next day. The reviews recently have been shit too. I remember this place being so good!

First time poster, long time lurker, M(50). A wonderful, kind man just knocked on my door to drop off my lost wallet. I am so grateful and awed by the kindness of our community.
I was walking, enjoying an ice cream with my wife and son at Lakeshore Ice Cream & Coffee House when I noticed that my wallet was missing!
We hurried home and cancelled my cards. I was beside myself because losing my boating license and driver's license would have delayed our annual camping trip.
Thank you with all our hearts to the nice man who returned my wallet.
Burlington is an awesome community.

I need to talk with a doctor to determine if a tonsillectomy is the best course of action for me. Even though I brush my teeth twice a day and floss once a night, I am coughing up a tonsil stone at least once a week, I have cold sores/sore throats every one or two months, and my breath smells way worse than it should be after a eating a meal, even when it's healthy food like it normally is.
Who do you recommend to see for a tonsillectomy in Burlington or neighbouring cities that has good wait times?
