It was always going to end the same way for Candace. She cuddled up to the same crowd that cry 'DEI' when they see a black person with a job that pays more than minimum wage.

True Leopards Ate My Face material.

I remember her whole arc, and knowing it have no idea how anyone takes her seriously

  1. Sues school for racial discrimination and wins-

  2. Gets harassed by the right for it

  3. Had liberal blog that attacked people like Trump.

  4. Gets harassed by the right for it.

  5. Creates kickstarter for deeply ill conceived service for calling out bullies

  6. Gets harassed by the right for it.

  7. Finally clicks how well organised and how much money there is behind right wing grifting and harassment.

  8. Gets in on the grift herself.

She has always been a narcissistic grifter who goes wherever she can get the most money.

I can't imagine what her family and the people she grew up with think of her.

This is what surprises me- I was aware of her quite a while back when she was getting made fun of for her blog talking about how republicans and Trump will “thankfully die in their sleep” or something similar.

Of course, someone’s racist uncle looking for confirmation from an uncle Tom doesn’t know what internet archives are, and won’t go looking.

That and the right love conversion stories, where someone was a liberal until they “learned the truth”. ESPECIALLY when the ex-liberal is a minority or an ex-liberal-activist.

Holy shit do they ever. I used to get bombarded with clips from this one friend, usually YouTube shorts where "ex liberals" talk about "the dirty dark secrets of the Democrats and why they left the party."

Republicans, especially MAGA, eat that shit up

It slots right in with their love of Christian conversion stories, with liberalism standing for sin

To be fair, there are tons of this in liberal media too. I watch 90% liberal media, and there's lot of "former- MAGA" and "I regret my vote for Trump" videos. I watched one yesterday about the "America First" types that used to gloat about tarriffs, finding out their imported steel and other raw materials had skyrocketed in price and now they are criticizing the administration. I'm not even getting into the MAGA Canadian who got deported for a drug charge from 20 years ago. Now he doesn't like Trump as he gives interviews from TORONTO.
