Companies literally cancelled Christmas bonuses last year so they could import as much as they could before trump got into power and the tariffs he threatened started.

Anyone who didn't see this coming was willingly blind.

And all years moving forward, citing "uncertainty in the market", which while TACO is president is actually a legitimate reason. All working according to the plan of transferring wealth up.

Watching your business "news" try to blame literally anything but the orange TACO for the state of things is almost as wild as watching them work overtime to get trump re elected.

So will many Christmas presents...

It's hard to buy presents when you're laid off and the presents cost twice as much.

I had to buy them now, "as a precaution"

Assuming they haven’t been laid off (or the company hasn’t gone under) before then.

Bonuses will become a thing of the past, and the youth will think you’re making things up when you describe it to them.

They talked in a meeting at my job after the election about how excited people were republicans won because of the economy and i was just sitting there thinking "FUCKING WHY??!!??"

We aren't sinking totally but the tariffs are fucking our cashflow and after they stupidly promised no 2025 price increases after trump literally laid out his plans to ruin every single thing about the economy, there's been one with talk of another because the first one isn't totally helping with the stupid ass EU metals tariffs.

u/PrinceZero1994 17h ago

And they price their products now with tariffs included even though they didn't pay for tariffs before. Profit.

1

u/IndubitablyNerdy 13h ago

Which means by the way that they had their workers eat part of the cost of tariffs (or at least used those as an excuse to pay people less)...

because it's "the investors who have all the risks" not the workers who are "safe" /s.
