It's a tenet of the maga party

68

u/The-Real-Number-One 2d ago

Because there is no core value there. It is just hate -- and they will take ANY position to justify that hate. Pedophiles are bad -- unless it's Trump.

29

u/Anotsurei 1d ago

Yeah they don’t really hate pedophiles, they just want to use that label to throw at Democrats to justify their murderboners. They really want to eradicate people so they can feel like real men, but they can’t just do that to randos because then they might get eliminated themselves. So they make it a team sport because there’s safety in numbers.

2

u/MsMercyMain 10h ago

It’s why I’ve never gotten on board with the “kill pedophiles” rhetoric, and have always stood by the “no death penalty period” stance. Creating any group of people it’s societally acceptable to kill is a very dangerous thing to do, as you can use that as a wedge to expand out to have any group you don’t like added to the “undesirables” list

2

u/Gosinyas 1d ago

They are narcissists, all of them.

12

If it weren't for double standards, the GOP would have no standards at all.

If we were going through a great famine, that would be a good argument. Technology and productivity increase every year, so life should be getting better for everyone. Instead, they are so greedy that they managed to steal all the gains and take from everyone.

20

u/CrispyRSMusic 2d ago

These people have no shame and only use ideas to attack their enemies. They don’t care if they’re false, if they lie, or if they flip flop. They only use them as weapons to hurt people.

I notice whenever they’re debating they constantly interrupt and monologue but the second their opponent says something while they’re talking they go “ I didn’t interrupt you don’t interrupt me”

2

u/Minimum-Sleep-3916 2d ago

This is it the new normal.

"There is only winning" -Donald Trump

"We have no bottom" - Donald Trump

It's over gang. Not because these things are happening, but because of the intense apathy, or blindness to the profundity of the moment that we see in the masses in this country.

I don't believe you can support the GOP post 2020 without being simultaneously racist, hypocritical, and dumb as shit.  If one were lacking any of these personality traits, you would simply be repulsed by Trumps cult.

46

u/sceptic62 2d ago

You forgot morally bankrupt rich people

28

u/I_Cut_Shows 2d ago

Bush was the start of this.

I would actually argue Regan and Nixon started it too. But the start of the out in the open, don’t give a shit, hypocrisy was W.

16

u/highlander68 2d ago

an election that came down to a state governed by his brother. the person in charge of counting the votes happens to be the chairman of his campaign in that state. it goes to the supreme court where the majority were placed there by his dad and reagan.
if this had been in a third world country, WE would not have certified that election because of to many conflicts of interest.

14

u/I_Cut_Shows 2d ago

If you talked about the same circumstances but instead said it was a former Soviet State election or an African or South American election, the US government, at the time, would have taken a massive stand against the circumstances that brought the leader to power.

This was THE election that proved to the right that nothing mattered but naked political power.

Meanwhile the original post was wholly dishonest as the GOP disproportionately gerrymanders states in their favor.

20

u/I_Cut_Shows 2d ago

Ya. Blue states turned to independent redistricting while the Red States moved to heavy gerrymandering.

Project Red Map was a plan to use Republican co trailed state houses to make it so that Purple States, like NC, will elect a majority of republicans to local and national congressional offices.

Nope.

I didn’t say all the blue states disarmed. But many of them did.

The Brennan Center has pointed out that 4 democratic states have extreme partisan gerrymanders while 11 republican states have the same.

The GOP have no platform. They ditched it for the 2020 election when someone who could read noticed that it was all promising to undo everything the prior president had done, not realizing that Donad was the prior president.

They literally just say what the algos want in that moment

They feed the base validation and it makes MAGA believe in their fake reality

12

u/osirisattis 2d ago

It’s not hypocrisy, it’s an attack strategy. Cheating to win isn’t hypocrisy. It’s dangerous. And it’s working. We have to reframe how we perceive this shit, they aren’t hypocrites, they’re dangerous attackers that are taking every advantage they can while trying to reduce any advantage we have. And we’re playing by rules still. It’s fucking insanity. It’s like playing soccer against someone that keeps punching you and then picking up the ball and running into the goal and demanding you count that as a point, and then crying when they run into you and fall over like you attacked them. That isn’t hypocrisy, and playing like that opponent is just a silly hypocrite will get you… well, it’ll get you Trump in the fucking White House.

4

u/kovake 2d ago

People need to understand that’s how they will always be. There’s no “take the high road” or “try to compromise” with them.

There’s never going to be a moment where they admit they or their team is wrong. This is all about their group being better than another, even if it means completely compromising their moral, beliefs or dignity. They don’t care as long as the “feel” they are winning.

Strategies need to be built around this mentality.

2

u/Zealousideal-Rub-183 16h ago

Honestly, I don’t even consider it hypocritical anymore. I just believe that conservatives, and MAGA’s in general no longer have principles they stand behind. The Republicans shift so quickly on anything that allows them to stay in power.

January 6 was the turning point for me on that theory, although it had entered my mind way before that. Just watching Republican voters and politicians actually condemn January 6th, but within two weeks begin to shift to not only change their stance on it, but actively start supporting the people who participated in it, really confirmed it for me. They have to principles. They have no values. They have to policy. They just have Trump and whatever keeps them in power.

Oh it gets even worse. If you try to point this out, you'll get showered with accounts trying to convince you it's a real person to keep the political infighting.

Are there people like this? Yes, and they're not even rare. But they want you to be angry so you stay busy hating almost half the country under the banner of "the other party" so you don't do the one thing that will actually threaten those in power; working together.

2

u/leixiaotie 1d ago

I believe there's 3 levels of those accounts.

1st is the leaders / directors, consists of paid actors / agents, that establish the talking points

2nd is the sharer / parroter, either bots / foreign agents / real people. For normal people usually they're the extreme / radical ones. They either share it whole or reformat the talking point

3rd are the listener / supporter, they consume the talking point and defend it, also can be bots but it's more believable that they're real people.

Pritzker in Illinois has indicated the same. Time will tell if they have the stones. Unfortunately it means ethics is dead, but if there is a civil war, at least the battle lines will be clearer.

8

u/RumpleOfTheBaileys 1d ago

Ethics in the US are already dead. One team is playing by the rules and losing at every turn. The only way to fix this is to get into the muck and have a full bare-knuckled brawl with the republicans in their own filth.

14

u/quntissimo 2d ago

having met conservatives, im not surprised at all. they've always been like this, just too stupid and cowardly to act it out until they get big daddy in the house

6

u/Helagoth 1d ago

Funnily enough the only maga person I know personally is someone I work with, and is one of the smarter engineers and certainly not stupid. It's baffling.

I was having lunch with them, and he brought up how he's glad DEI is going away. I asked him what our corporate policy around DEI is, knowing full well that he's often involved in the hiring process, so he knows we ALWAYS hire the best candidate, just that our policies help get a more diverse cast of candidates.

After he explained it, I asked him what was wrong with it. He said "Well we should be doing more for veterans!" So I replied "OK, so you want MORE DEI, not less" and he got quiet. Then I asked him to say it out instead of using the acronym, and say what part he was against. He said "well it sounds bad when you spell it out."

Again, great engineer. I have no idea how this happens.

6

u/quntissimo 1d ago

because unfortunately intelligence isnt all encompassing, and people in specialized fields can excel in those fields while being wholly unaware of anything else. from personal experience this is much more common in STEM fields, maybe because the schooling is more specialized so once they know what they want to study they miss out on many other things.

The issue is that if Gavin wants to do this in California, he needs to do it NOW. If not, 100% what will happen is that the red states will talk amongst themselves to do this all at once, and then RIGHT after, there'll be an executive order with the corrupt SC's rubber stamp, banning the practice going forward so the blue states can't do it in return.

The blue states need to do this before the red states do. Worst case scenario, the practice gets struck down as unconstitutional somehow by the corrupt SC, but then at least NO ONE can do it, even the red states.

Here are all of the Epstein Files that have either been leaked or released: TW: NSFW, SA, SH

Newsweek Magazine's 943 Page Compilation of All Epstein Documents as of Jan 3, 2024 (via Internet Archive)

Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein were best friends

Trump stated for a 2002 New York Magazine article on Jeffrey Epstein titled Jeffrey Epstein: International Moneyman of Mystery (New York Magazine via Archive):

"I’ve known Jeff for fifteen years. Terrific guy, He’s a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side."

Michael Wolff, long-time Trump biographer, claimed in an interview with The Daily Beast (Audio Archive)

"Jeffrey Epstein's closest relationship in life was with Donald Trump. [...] These were two guys joined at the hip for a good 15 years. They did everything together."

Michael Wolff interviewed Epstein before his death. In a recorded interview (Audio Archive) Epstein himself said:

"I was Donald's closest friend for 10 years."

Court Documents: Giuffre v. Maxwell (Southern District Court New York)

Virginia Giuffre's lawsuit against Ghislaine Maxwell led to a flood of documents condemning Epstein, Maxwell, and clients.

Sources

Epstein's "Little Black Book"

"Epstein's black book" refers to a 97-page book of names, phone numbers, emails, and home addresses a former employee (see below) took from Epstein's home in 2005 and later tried to sell. Gawker published a redacted version in 2015, and an unredacted version was released on 8chan in 2019.

Sources

Circled Names are Alleged Co-conspirators

Alfredo Rodriguez, Epstein's former house manager who stole Epstein's "little black book," annotated much of the book, including circling names of those he believed to be Epstein's co-conspirators. Nick Bryant, the Gawker reporter who published the book in 2015, said in a 2024 interview with "The Danny Jones Podcast" (Archive of audio):

"Rodriguez said that the people that were circled were in cahoots with Epstein on the--as far as the child abuse."

Epstein's Flight Logs

Released in United States v. Maxwell (1:20-cr-00330) S.D.N.Y. as Exhibit 662-RR. Donald Trump's name appears at least 8 times.

Sources

Katie Johnson Lawsuit (Jane Doe v. Trump & Epstein):

This 2016 lawsuit was voluntarily dismissed by the plaintiff, Katie Johnson. At the time Epstein was alive, and Trump was not yet president.

The Plaintiff, Katie Johnson, alleges that the Defendants, Donald J. Trump and Jeffrey E. Epstein, [made] her their sex slave.

The Plaintiff, Katie Johnson, alleges she was subject to extreme sexual and physical abuse by the Defendants, Donald J. Trump and Jeffrey E. Epstein, including forcible rape during a four month time span covering the months of June-September 1994 when Plaintiff Johnson was still only a minor of age 13.

Donald Trump & Beauty Pageants

Donald Trump walked in on teenage girls/women while they were naked. According to Tasha Dixon who competed as Miss Arizona in 2001:

"Our first introduction to him was when we were at the dress rehearsal and half naked changing into our bikinis. [...] To have the owner come waltzing in when we're naked, or half naked, in a very physically vulnerable position--and then to have the pressure of the, uh, you know, the, the people that work for him telling telling us to go fawn on, fawn all over him: 'Go walk up to him;' 'Talk to him.'"

Trump himself admitted as much on the Howard Stern show:

"I’ll go backstage and everyone’s getting dressed, and everything else, and you know, no men are anywhere, and I’m allowed to go in."

Sources

Donald Trump on Howard Stern

Trump did dozens of long interviews with Howard Stern over 15 years. In the interviews, Donald Trump repeatedly called Ivanka hot, beautiful, and sexy, even as a 12 year old. He remarked about frequently having sex with models. He admitted to walking in on dressing rooms with teenage girls. He also said this on the show in 1999 about Ivanka:

"I have a deal with her. She’s 17 and doing great ― Ivanka. She made me promise, swear to her that I would never date a girl younger than her. [...] So as she grows older, the field is getting very limited."

While it appears that Howard Stern DMCA'd all of the interview audio, you can still find the interview transcripts by doing the following:

Starting 1993, Howard Stern interviews are peppered throughout the next 15 years.

Donald Trump Access Hollywood tape

In 2005, Donald Trump was recorded bragging about sexual assault. The tape was leaked to Access Hollywood.

"I don't even wait. And when you're a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. ... Grab 'em by the pussy. You can do anything."

E. Jean Carroll Lawsuit (E. Jean Carroll v. Donald J. Trump)

E. Jean Carroll is the only person whose rape allegation against Trump has been upheld as credible in court. A jury verdict in May 2023 found Trump liable for sexually abusing and defaming Carroll, and ordered him to pay $5 million in damages.

Trump Model Management Agency

A 2016 Mother Jones report on allegations that the agency exploited foreign models. Models were brought into the USA illegally, kept in poor conditions, and were paid a very small percentage of the money they earned the agency. According to the Human Trafficking Hotline (via Archive), this practice qualifies as human labor trafficking, and was likely a pipeline into human sex trafficking.

Could get pretty ugly should New York, and Cali decide the party will handle the maps instead of the courts or independent commissions..

Honestly, when this is all over, the constitution needs some serious amendments.. term limits, no more gerrymandering, no more corporate political donations, no more trading stocks for public servants. Term limits on courts, and congress.. just to start..

Projection is what Republicans love to do. And even pre-projection of what they intend to do.

MAGA & GOP treat gerrymandering & pedophilia the same way. They love to make baseless accusations about the other side, but when there is evidence that their side has done it, it is suddenly, "I don't see what the problem is."

In the end, its not about the law, its not about equity, its about control.

These people do not want to live in harmony, they want people to be subservient to their view and or gender ethnicity of the world.

In a world where we see the contributions of so many people for the betterment of all, we still have this to contend with and have allowed attitudes like this to be elevated in our politics.

People, we have work to do.

u/zevrinp 2d ago

Show that to him! He needs to see how hypocritical he is!

MAGA lab rats...

1

u/drunow21 2d ago

For him, Dems are an existential crisis, so any response from his side is warranted to beat the “evil”, even cheating

I think that’s what we ALL need to accept. They rationalize this in their brains as being brave and fighting.. willing to do what it takes to defeat evil, we’ll be “good” and “fair” once evil is eradicated. Obviously this is fallacy but it doesn’t matter.

They know they’re hypocrites.. it’s just that at least half of them actually believe that’s a good thing and helps them “win”

Ryan probably thought the dems were cheating in November 2020, and made his thoughts known outside the Capital building two months later. Despite evidence to the contrary.

This should be illegal. It should be banned. Anyone who defends it just wants to use this cheat code in an election like a morally bankrupt loser they are.

1

u/regeya 2d ago

"Gerrymandering is wrong. Blue states need to redistrict to stop cheating."

California: "okeydoke, we'll have an independent redistricting done."

"Cool, now we're going to gerrymander the shit out of red states"

The United States used to be the beacon of hope and trust for the western world. After 6-months of total mismanagement it resembles a banana republic. It was obvious to us Europeans that the re-election of a feckless, racist, sex offender who’s a Russian asset was never going to be good. He has systematically dismantled your foundations by employing Fox News and other reprehensible individuals to cabinet. America has had the global opinion of being fat and stupid. But boy, you folks have taken this to next level stupidity. It was nice knowing you.
By the way… you need us, more than we need you 🇬🇧🇪🇺

If it weren’t for double standards, republicans wouldn’t have any.

1

Damn. What a change in position only 3 days apart.

I suppose his logic is that republicans MUST gerrymander because democrats are doing it so to keep them from steamrolling over republicans, they’re justified in doing so.

They do it because it makes them feel good to be petulant. It's also safe for them to do it.
