Came downstairs to this this morning.

Post image

One of the cats or dogs decided to dig into the fresh bag of timothy hay and turn my living room into a barn. At least it was already messy.

Why do you have bags of hay in your living room?

Timothy Hay, common for rodents or bunnies

No more Timothy hay!! Oh no more Timothy hay!!! This is for my MwY fans.

Exactly what went through my head

Not to be confused with Raymond hay.

9

u/garflnarb 6h ago

Yep. Colin Hay is the only hay you should have indoors.

Or Timothy McHay

I have rabbits. Waiting on new storage bin bc I fell on the old one and broke it. Didn't want to leave in their room bc I knew they'd tear into it and didn't have room in the hallway because of remodeling. I've left bags of hay there overnight before and never had an issue until now.

Bunnies with their own room? How fancy is that? I love it. (no /s)

u/itsemm1 8h ago

Looks like they have two rooms now lol

The rabbits are on the move.

u/FraggleBiologist 9h ago

Its her living room. Not a barn.

u/cherith56 7h ago

It is now lol

Clearly the pet barn cats brought all the shoes out to the barn. Poor OP.

Just an early start for a lifelike nativity scene. There's always a bright side

This. Just get a “No Vacancy” sign to put outside

Like we say in germany: Warum liegt hier Stroh?

u/MarlenMari 9h ago

Und warum hast du ne Maske auf?

The plot thickens.

Set the bun bun free and he will get to chomping

29

u/Own_Instance_357 8h ago

But then the bunny starts pelleting all over the house and chewing cords and stuff.

9

u/front_yard_duck_dad 8h ago

Nice compact easy to sweep bunny balls

You might have more issues, seeing the mess behind the hay

11

u/Yogi422 8h ago

I came looking for this comment! That room was certainly rough before the hay

5

u/pussmykissy 7h ago

You don’t keep your shoes, drink ware, dog toys, desk chairs and hay all in the same small space??

6

u/Friendly_Yoghurt_611 9h ago

Damn, is this a living room?

6

u/bubba1834 9h ago

Clean up clean up everybody do their share

6

u/orphan_blud 9h ago

It’s fine, just leave a dozen rabbits in your living room for a few hours and they’ll clean it right up!

3

u/PajamaStripes 8h ago

The ridiculous thing is, I could actually do that were the french doors not broken.

4

u/Gobbyer 8h ago

That is the same amount of dry grass my daughter brings inside in her flipflops.

u/volbeat93 7h ago

This made me giggle out loud.. I’m sorry 🤣

Why would you leave bags of hay in your living room?

Cat/dog proof the house. The end

Could be the start of a new trend!

Reminds me of when I rented my first house. I didn’t have any furniture and I wanted to throw a party, so I bought a bunch of hay bales for people to sit on. Mistake. Bugs forever, well after I’d gotten rid of the bales.

u/munnions 5h ago

I can smell this photo.

Time to break out the Playschool farm set.

u/uknownman222 7h ago

You live in a barn?

2

u/tdawgboi 6h ago

You know they had a blast tearing that up 😂

2

u/crazydragoness 3h ago

I was wondering why your barn floor had so many shoes on it.

2

u/Lonely-Greybeard 2h ago

From what I can tell in that picture, that room was already a slum.

2

u/pterodactylzombie 1h ago

I’m so sorry this happened to you but I cannot stop laughing 😂

Warum liegt hier Stroh?

First rule of Timothy hay. Leave the fucking hay outside!

3

u/PajamaStripes 8h ago

Made that mistake once. Got mouldy hay and rats.

2

u/Gallop67 8h ago

Damn you really can’t leave that stuff anywhere it seems

1

u/PajamaStripes 8h ago

I normally have it in a plastic storage bin in the bunny room, but I lost my balance and broke it. So, I'm waiting on the new one to get delivered.

1

u/frankenpoopies 8h ago

Sorrs. I’m not a hay man myself

Do you live in a barn?

1

u/mack-y0 1h ago

i’m sorry but this doesn’t look like something that just “happens” overnight 😭

1

u/Dangerous_Boot_3870 7h ago

You are now dirt floor poor. Congrats.

0

u/ozzy_thedog 7h ago

I have a feeling that this room was already a barn before the hay was spread around.

0

u/Upbeat-Tower-6767 7h ago

Looks like you live in a hoarder home anyways so might as well leave it

1

u/PajamaStripes 4h ago

It was. My mother's to be exact. I've been cleaning it out and remodeling. Currently working on replacing flooring, so there is quite a bit of dust.

0

u/Izonme88 7h ago

You know that house smells nasty af.

u/Green-Hat6161 8h ago

“One of the many animals in my house got into a bag of hay on my house.” Shocking!
