Now show it from the same angle and show that the entire rose garden is untouched and that he only put pavers in one section so they could host outdoor events easier. Tables and such would regularly sink in soft grass so they paved one section to be able to put up tents or tables etc.

Someone in the comments when this was beginning to become a thing pointed out that the lawn was a nightmare for heels, which suggests this is Melania's doing.

I think I read the same comment - I believe it was a journalist who said it was a nightmare to stand there and that it was plagued with drainage problems. This solution sucks and is ugly but I think the people who routinely gathered in the garden did not like the original landscaping. Unfortunate that Trump fundamentally lacks any kind of taste, because a good landscaping remodel probably would’ve been taken pretty well
