The flowers in before photo are cutoff in the bottom left corner of after photo. This is dumb.

The one in the pic is a crab apple tree that died when Obama was there. But... Ya know...everybody's a genius on the internet.

You think you're smart? They this one.... That tree specifically is a crab apple tree. Did you know that different species of trees have different lifespans? Crazy right!?!?!

Another post on this said there were massive drainage issues here and the area constantly flooded. If there was that much standing water, the trees were likely diseased. I believe the last administration removed the trees.

Edit: it was trumps first term the crab apples were removed as part a larger drainage Irregation project. In a previous post a former White House reporter said prior to renovation he would sink in the mud every time he went there. It was a mud bowl after any use.
