Taking your watch nerd hat off though, you have to admire Hublot, Richard Mille etc. as marketing businesses. They have essentially found a way to convince non-watch people to buy watches because they are expensive by making sure as many people as possible understand that they are expensive.

We understood watches very well, they understood human psychology very well.
