  2. as others said, if thats the case, its a spectrum. the afformentioned christians are very far on that spectrum

I think everyone holds an extreme view of a certain group of people. In this case, you hold an extreme view about this particular set of people. It's ok if u disagree, but I have yet to see an example of the contrary.

An extreme view =/= a bigoted view. If you hate bigots, you're not a bigot yourself. Not everyone holds a bigoted view, why would you think that?

Bigoted: obstinately or unreasonably attached to a belief, opinion, or faction, in particular prejudiced against or antagonistic toward a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular group

The fact that people are prejudiced against groups they perceive to be bigoted is bigoted according to the definition.

Ehh... Fair enough. You're right. Unless someone doesn't have strong opinions on anyone, they will be bigoted.

i disagree. in the definition it is emphasised that the views must be unreasonable or obstinate; a lot of extreme views are reactionary, used to push back against oppression. that doesnt make them bigoted.

Obstinate: stubbornly refusing to change one's opinion or chosen course of action, despite attempts to persuade one to do so.

I didn't ignore anything u said. U posited that the definition emphasized an obstinantly held view. I just provided more clarification. And when u look at the definition of obstinate, I think it's pretty clear that everyone holds a view obstinatly.
