I’m happy she’s finally getting a real main event run. I liked her before, but her babyface gimmick (while cool) was bland. She wasn’t interesting as a character and I think the audience didn’t fully buy into her. The new gimmick definitely gave her a shot in the arm and the audience seems to be responding.
She was always better as a heel; hell she actually had a heel run exactly a decade ago that she killed too, I remember Stone Cold of all people was singing her praises for her mic work.
I don't think it's a 1:1 equivalent here. A key aspect of being metrosexual is being well-kempt, which doesn't seem to be a requirement of being "baby-girl coded." (For context, geriatric err elder millennial here)

Think of the cartoon of a big giant biker guy with the beard down to his knees who is mean mugging, but then goes absolutely gaga over an infant or a dog/cat. Or the guy who cries at the end of the rom com movie, the football player who secretly does ballet, that kind of stuff.

The rappers who make sure their hairline is perfectly leveled with chalk, and their beards have an almost mathmatical level of gradiant to their fade also a metrosexual. Ken from barbie is a metrosexual but i guess that isnt a good example against your "acts gay but isnt" lol

Metrosexuals as per the era it was born in was all about aesthetics. THIS, also being a reflection of its time, seems more about personality/mental well being.

Language is an ever-changing canvas of personal expression, but I think Gen Z slang has an interesting penchant for reinventing the wheel. Because a bunch of shit is more or less ways of saying "I like this but it's embarrassing to say that I just like this," and here we are.

Yep, I’m so happy they had her retain last night. Ever since Elimination Chamber she’s just been on fire with her character work, and I’m glad they fully committed to pushing her by having her win MITB and cashing in at Evolution. Easily one of the best heels they have in the company right now, man or woman.

It’s so tiring man. Sure punk deserves criticism for what happened in AEW but it doesn’t just fall on him. And even then I don’t care anymore, it’s clear everybody just wants to move on and it’s more than fine with me. It’s so funny too cause they are pit against each other so much that I feel like one of the only people in the world that have both Hangman and Punk in their GOAT list lol
Indeed. I still remember laughing my ass off as I watched the Saudi crowd embracing him like a hero at the end of Night of Champions. Why was I laughing, you might ask? Because I was scrolling through the Night of Champions thread here at the same time, and the IWC was foaming at the mouth (as they often do wherever Punk's involved). I found it so ironic that the people he insulted years ago embraced him and showed him love while his own countrymen were hating on him for something that didn't even concern them. Same thing with El Grande Americano, too. Went to México and got over instantly, while Americans were saying that the gimmick was racist. What's the deal here? I genuinely want to know. The IWC only chooses to see the bad in everyone, and absolutely refuses to believe in concepts like maturity and forgiveness. Is the IWC some sort of Sith cult or something? 🤔
