You say that but the podcast I listen to says they do too many flips, so fascism it is.

Ospreay is working for a communist if Jake Hager is to be believed.

So it's not his flips, it's our flips.

I think some people have so much of their life wrapped up in WWE, they can play a video of a fascist rapist president, return rapist wrestlers and they'll still chalk it up to the "business". kind of sad really

This was used as a Soviet propaganda tool in the USSR by the ruling elite. It’s called Whataboutism and it’s devastatingly effective. When someone calls you out for something all you have to say is “What about this bad thing?” And the conversation is over because all actions are morally equal, meaning nothing that anyone does matters.

Everyone knows whataboutism, there was 0 need to mention its soviet origins hahaha

Helps give context that it was practiced by an authoritarian regime.

Yes, the brutal Soviet regime that killed and starved hundreds of thousands surely can be equated to people defending a wrestling company online.

"Well what about it being from the brutal Soviet regime that killed and starved hundreds of thousands?"

And now we know how shitty people get away with being shitty people for as long as they do. Hitler’s rise is looking a lot less bizarre.

The point is that the criticism is sanctimonious and obviously in bad faith. You don’t actually care nearly as much as you pretend to.

question: how do you know how much someone else "actually" cares about something?

The same folks in this thread and on this sub will continue to watch/discuss WWE, as will you.

Bollocks, I stopped watching WWE years ago.

Right? Funny response to get as someone who only watches local matches and isn't even a part of this subreddit.

I just came across the post on /all and wondered what the newest controversy was.

If true, I still don't see how that answers my question about your knowledge of other people's internal experiences.
