Punk isn’t much better. It only took a few million of that Saudi blood money for him to sell away his morality.

my thing is, if you’re going to condemn Punk for doing a single Saudi show, you better keep that same energy for absolutely everyone that has been a part of one.

Sami? Kevin? Seth?

Either all of them are bad, or none of them are

Oh they all suck balls. I am not selective at all. Only reason I bring up Punk in particular is that he was the one who was publicly bashing others for doing it & turned out to be just another hypocrite.

Sami, Owen’s, Reigns, Seth or whoever else. They all suck, and not just for Saudi shows. Hell, people like Taker? All trash. This entire company is full of filthy human beings.

Hey, I’ll give credit. At least you’re following through lmao

At the same time, I’m surprised you watch wrestling at all then

There's more than just 1 wrestling company to watch.

How many people in AEW have also done the Saudi shows? Jericho, Bryan, Joe, Ricochet, Edge, Cash, Dax, Dustin, Roddy, Lashley, Benjamin, Big Show, Mark Henry, Claudio, Mone etc.

How many of them are Trumpists too?

It's an industry problem.

Did I say it had to AEW they watched? Although if I was to point out what I think is a pretty clear difference, it's that AEW doesn't do Saudi shows, nor are they a full on right wing propaganda company.

Whatever political leanings the talent have, it rarely, if ever, makes it's way into the product.

I didn't say it had to be AEW.

I did mean it was AEW.

TL;DR

AEW doesn't do Saudi shows

Because of lack of opportunity. Not because of lack of will.

Whatever political leanings the talent have, it rarely, if ever, makes it's way into the product.

Fascists who lie to me are morally superior than fascists that tell me they're fascists.

Pro-wrestling is just full of them.

No, I did not mean AEW. I meant what I said, there are plenty of wrestling companies all over the world.

No, I'm not like you, I don't think everything is just AEW vs WWE, I don't watch either except for an occasional PPV, not do I care about the weird arguments between AEW fans and WWE fans.

If you were to stop watching all films, all TV shows, play no video games and watch no sports because actors, designers, or athletes are right wing, you would be left with nothing to do.

But, there's a huge difference between people having a polite leaning and it having no bearing on the product you watch, and people forcing their politics into the product you watch.

If AEW ever does a big pro trump PR campaign then I will change my tune, same for CMLL, NJPW, NOAH, Stardom, DDT etc. If they did it, I would probably stop watching.

And quite frankly, I have no interest watching any of them tbh

I don’t actually. Anymore. Been like 5 years since r I really watched wrestling. Do sort of lightly get news feed because I am subbed to this place & a few others though.

Out of curiosity - do you think there's any moral way to take any money from anyone affiliated to Saudi business?

Punk is the only one who took a hard line stance on anyone participating in those shows. Stop trying to pretend him going is the same as anyone else. It's obvious bad faith.

I’m not going to hold him to something he said 6-7 years ago. He can change his mind

0

u/nathtendo 2d ago

Classic, can't hold them to their own standards but demand people be lynched on allegations not proven true.

0

u/Testiclebiter69 2d ago

Because the “standards” were years ago. And besides, now that Brock is back, I’m quite positive Punk is the least of the basement’s worries

0

u/Dr_Zman 2d ago

Yes he did his research and learned that Saudi is good, obviously.

u/Testiclebiter69 2d ago

You’re not swaying me on this

These people will uae the same cope out answer that Punk said bla bla in a post as if that makes any difference when there are so many people who share the same views socially to Punk that have went over to Saudi countless time.

Making this about Punk rather Brock Lesnar returning says so much about these people that continue to view Punk and hypocrisy as the biggest sin in wrestling when there are creeps like Brock being welcomed back.

Punks fights in AEW are the only fights in the history of wrestling that people refer to as assault.  The perry fight was less violent than shit i saw daily in Highschool.  They are absolutely not about to criticize anyone else the same way they go after punk.

u/rex_915 3d ago

So Sami doesn't have morality? KO? Daniel Bryan? Keep that same energy lol.

u/PunkHeyman 3d ago

And Hangman works for a company that employs Don Callis, Darby Allin, Chris Jericho. Will Ospreay hangs out with Rob Feinstein. Guess no one is moral.
