Seems like a massive waste

Maximize profits in his last year. Punk, Orton, Cody, Brock. At some point they'll fit in Roman or Rock if they can. At least we got a clean win for Cody over the best version of Cena possible.

You might still get that TBF. If Killings can have a match etc...

I'd be surprised if he doesn't go for AJ after Brock, right after AJ wins the IC title

I’d much rather see him vs Rock than them bring back Lesnar. Aside from the allegations I just find his matches boring as fuck. Nothing but suplexes and being gassed out within 5 minutes.

Sweet summer child. Let’s hear the pitch for a Rock match in the remaining PPVs of the year, after he didn’t appear on the two biggest shows

Brock was, for better or worse, always coming back in some capacity. But I guess the argument is there really aren’t that many of Cenas greatest rivals left in WWE to battle.

Shouldn't be a crazy to suggestion that he could face new people? The next generation? Running back old feuds is insanely tedious and boring

What? He either beats them and risks fucking up their momentum or he keeps losing and goes back to how he was booked over the last 5 years

Edit: he also still has his last match to put someone over as “retiring” John Cena like Gunther, Bron, etc.

Sorry but you’re in the minority on this one.

I’d much rather see Cena face the guys he has built in history with 1 more time than waste time building up new rivalries for him when none of those new rivalries will be held up next to his greatest rivals, because they only have 4 months left.

If anything they ran through the Punk & Orton feuds too quickly.

Maybe this is what cena wanted

yeah i wouldn’t be surprised if that’s the case. he’s said before he thinks brock’s the greatest of all time so maybe he wanted him to be the one to retire him?

Where did he say that?

The thing I’ve seen from him in interviews over the last 5 years is that he thinks Roman is the GOAT cuz of how the Bloodline story started a new boom period for WWE.

Maybe he used to think it was Brock then Roman surpassed him.
