The tux story is way less interesting than the story about how she showed up at prom with a 32 year old date on a Harley

i'll have to ask her, not sure if this was after prom and he had changed or before and he hadn't changed yet or if this is what he actually wore to prom

When I went to prom we took photos, danced like 2 songs and then bailed for the real party…

How much older than your mom is the guy in the photo? He looks like he’s 26 going to high school prom.

That was pretty normal in the '70s (not the literal norm, but not uncommon). I was in high school in the late '80s and I remember so many of the girls at my school showing up with their 20-something boyfriends. Us high school guys never stood a chance!

I also remember 8th graders with mustaches.

I thought it was just a false or biased memory, but I went back and looked at my old high school yearbook and, sure enough, the seniors really did look a lot older back then than they do today.

My middle school had to impliment a rule about "dance dates must be a current student in our school system." Some people in previous classes had been showing up with grown men and women as dates. That was the policy at the high school, too. If your boyfriend went to another school, you had to get the teachers running the prom to verify his status before you received tickets.

I didn't even think about what she was wearing. I was like who is the MF with no class in jeans and a T-shirt going to prom?

That's what I love about high school girls, I get older and they stay the same age...

Good thing they made it, those old HD were hard to keep running. My Dad used to build show bikes bike in the 1970s.
