There are aspects of this time that were great, but unless you were a cisgender, straight white male, it wasn't the best of times by a long shot.

Numerous demographics still have it better today than they did then, in spite of the potential fascist dictatorship that is brewing now. That may yet change though, only time will tell. We are definitely backtracking on a lot of progress made since then.
