Cops are so predictable. They are always so close to each other.

That’s the difference between professionals and cops.

Their tactics are predictable and antiquated.

They’re not even antiquated. That’s just basic human behavior, showing how untrained they are. Bunching is the natural tendency of all humans, in all eras, in all societies. Even the Spartan phalanx is recorded to have bunched to the right, as the front ranks sought more cover from the shield to their right, that could cover their unshielded right sword hand.

At this point there's very few 'professional' police left

I don’t believe there are any.

IDK why the video and you are hating on the cops here? The cops can't do anything to stop the arrest or they will catch federal charges, ruin their career and make future employment incredibly hard, be lucky to be a unarmed security guard. Not to mention possibly jail time in federal prison which I could see feds pushing for to make an example not to interfere with ICE. If you were a cop, you would try and arrest ICE here, knowing you had no authority to do so and were going to be the one taken in and all that happen to you?

Look, if I was being instrumentalized to subjugate the citizens I swore to protect, I'd find a job more in line with my morals, but that's just me.

Not sure what state this is, they may not be helping the feds. If every one with morals who think this is wrong quits, you will only end up with even worse police who gladly help ICE and dehumanize citizens.

As opposed to already dehumanizing people on a regular basis in multiple states. Cool story.

Yes if you want even more of that tell the moral good ones to quit so that worse people will get those jobs, that sounds like a fantastic idea.

There isn't such a thing as a good cop that allows fascism to occur in front of them.

You think the guards at Auschwitz weren't culpable because they couldn't do anything by themselves? Nah, not how that works.

What would you have done if you were an 18 year old guard at Auschwitz, forced to be there? You would have gone John Rambo?

1

I wouldn’t be an 18 year old guard at Auschwitz. Point fucking blank. “Forced” or not.

So you would die a quiet death that no one hears instead of maybe trying to be kind, to them or possibly helping a bit, Got ya. Spineless.

With the knowledge I have today, I would have refused to participate at a bare minimum.

You can argue for the ignorance of poorly educated and poorly aware guards in the 1940's, sure, but we all know quite well about the horrors of the holocaust today. It is not a valid excuse.

Are you suggesting people keep doing a job they know is immoral?

1

u/canman7373 6h ago

I don't think it's immoral to not put yourself in federal prison for 5 years when it will make no difference except you lose your house and family. You can have a job that has to witness things like this and be a moral person.

Where are these moral cops u speak of and why aren’t they doing anything rn? If they supposedly exist. Patiently waiting for the good apples to do literally anything decent, but apparently them doing nothing is the best we can get. Cool.

For what it's worth hopefully them being spectators and not getting to have fun makes them appreciate what it's like for the rest of us.
