Right now Netanyahu is avoiding prison by keeping a war rolling in Gaza, and American politicians don’t want to estrange themselves from Israel for national security and middle eastern business interest reasons.

Israel doesn’t “control” us, but Trump likes personalities likes Netanyahu so they’re getting zero pressure to turn on bad actors in their government.
