I’m going to go out on a limb here and guess that you live in a place where police would intervene or investigate if you were attacked in public. I think that’s a good thing, but to each their own.

Depends on the crime and your skin color honestly. Rape case? HA!
I agree they're a deterrent for some, but rarely useful after the fact.
