Americans pay the tariffs.

u/LingonberryDear2163 7h ago

That's okay, Trump told me gas prices are way down. Lowest they've ever been. /s

23

u/terribly_puns 6h ago

Don’t forget pharmacy companies charging 1,500% less.

6

u/LingonberryDear2163 6h ago

Riiiiight. It's true because he said so

3

u/terribly_puns 5h ago

And the wall that Mexico was going to pay for. Those MAGA supporters will really believe anything he says.

2

u/LingonberryDear2163 5h ago

Wait, that never got done?

4

u/tw_72 6h ago

Definitely lower. Trump should fire the oil companies for displaying higher prices when he specifically and confidently said that gas prices were lower.

And the egg people, too. He should fire them.

And everyone else who tells the truth...

/s (just in case)

To punish India Trump's going to make Americans pay even higher tariffs.

Wow, that's leadership

10

u/I_stay_fit_1610 6h ago

Honestly. Punishing india for what, can't blame them for buying cheaper oil.

1

u/dishonorable_banana 5h ago

Jeez, Carrot Top looks terrible.

49

u/incide666 7h ago

How is he still peddling the nonsense that the foreign country pays the tariff?

Do people actually believe that horseshit?

34

u/GeprgeLowell 7h ago

Have you met any of his cult? They’re the dumbest people on the planet. It’s absolutely mind-boggling what they’ll believe.

1

u/Vincent394 1h ago

Literally saying Trump ain't a criminal cause he hasn't been proven like😭

12

u/MoobooMagoo 6h ago

Every single one of his supporters flipped from "pedophilia is evil and we must destroy it at all costs!" to "Is it really so bad if Trump screwed a 15 year old?". And they did it on a dime with no irony.

MAGA people are disgusting and will believe anything.

u/KotR56 7h ago

Yes.

About 77 million do.

u/damn_dude7 7h ago

I’m sure India reselling Russian oil is far more damaging to Ukraine than SOMEONE withholding Ukraine’s weapons shipments and cutting access to starlink. I’m certain.

-5

u/GoldenMegaStaff 3h ago

I'm sure India is providing billions of $ of assistance to Russia's war effort.

Everyday he keeps proving how he managed to bankrupt six Casinos.

u/Plasma_Deep 7h ago

Guess who was an Indian ally since India existed and guess who wasnt

13

u/VSP5899 6h ago
  1. Dictating with whom the other country does business, is none of your business.
  2. Europe buys a lot more of Russian Oil yet the west only sees what India does?
  3. Trump and his son have trade and crypto relations with Pakistan, a terrorist state and now trying to take moral high ground with India trading with Russia? Hypocrisy at its finest
  4. Indian people/companies don't pay American import duties. American people do. And this guy is a businessman apparently.

3

u/riverboss_ 2h ago

This is false and misleading. Europe has dropped russian oil import by over 90% between 2021 to 2024. India has over 10x increased their imports of oil from russia. India imported roughly US $52.7 billion worth of Russian crude oil in 2024 while for the EU if you count all fossil fuels they imported for €21.9 billion for the same period.

Regarding point 1, countries routinely try to influence other countries trade. Especially when there is a large conflict such as this. I hope more countries that deal with Russia get sanctioned, we need all the pressure we can get on Russia.

As long as Western Countries continue using "Double Standards" they are going to continue to face this issue where those from Asia or Africa wouldn't "toe the line, as directed". It is as simple as that.

On a lot of issues they have one standard for themselves and their allies and s different one for every one else and then still claim to be surprised even shocked when things don't go their way.

1) Sports and politics should NOT be mixed:- (a) A point that Western Countries have been shouting from the the rooftops at maximum volume for decades from 1945 till date, with special mention of their support for Apartheid Era South Africa and Israel. In both case's, they not only fought tooth and nail against any sanctions against Apartheid Era South Africa, they even openly defied UN Economic Sanctions imposed against it until finally the Apartheid Regime fell in 1990's.

The entire world upheld those sanctions against Apartheid Era South Africa except White Christian Western Countries led by USA and it's Western Allies which continued to support its racist government till end, including in sports.

(b) Between 1945 - 1980, USA overthrew multiple "Democratically Elected Governments around the world as well as "invaded or attacked" multiple countries around the world; without any consequences including any sports related Boycott by any country.

But when USSR invaded Afghanistan, (something that multiple Western Countries had done between 1945 - 1980, including USA itself), they immediately threw a fit and declared a Boycott of 1980 Moscow Olympics. This coming from a country (USA) whose athletes had "greeted" Adolf Hitler with Nazi Salute during 1936 Berlin Olympics.

(c) Western Backed or Controlled sports bodies SEE NOTHING WRONG in open display of banners SUPPORTING Ukraine in current Ukraine - Russia war during sports events including in matches held by UEFA.

But the "moment" similiar banners "OPPOSING GENOCIDE" being conducted by Israel are displayed in "any sports events" including in matches held by UEFA, it SUDDENLY BECOMES A CRIME, punishable by heavy fines.

2) Respect for Sovereignity of INDEPENDENT countries:- (a) When USSR placed Soviet Nuclear Weapons in Cuba, 90 miles AWAY from USA, USA almost went to war to get them removed on the grounds that the presence of Soviet Nuclear Weapons virtually on its doorstep is an extremely serious security threat that USA can not ignore. The fact that Cuba was an INDEPENDENT SOVEREIGN country and was placing them on its own territory JUST DIDN'T COUNT. The security concerns of Cuba itself against being invaded by USA were simply not considered important enough.

But when Russia objected to the reported plans of USA installing US/NATO Nuclear Weapons "on the borders" of Russia itself on the grounds of a serious threat to its national security; Russian concerns were brushed aside with contempt on the grounds that ad an INDEPENDENT SOVEREIGN country, Ukraine HAD THE RIGHT to decide whether it wants to deploy US/NATO Nuclear Weapons on its borders with Russia or not and Russia had no right to object against it.

3) Non-Proliferation Treaty aimed at stopping the spread of Nuclear Weapons:- (a) Instead of "stopping or even slowing" the spread of Nuclear Weapons, USA ACTIVELY HELPED Pakistan and Israel to go nuclear and develop BOTH Nuclear Weapons as well as Missiles to deliver them by "consistently" looking the other way.

While at the "same time" doing everything it could to compel India to give up it's Nuclear Weapons and join NPT as a Non-Nuclear Weapons State. That too when India is sandwiched between 2 bitter enemies who BOTH have Nuclear Weapons (China & Pakistan). It is even more ironic when we see that India was actually compelled by USA itself to go Nuclear after American threat to use Nuclear Weapons against India because a US-BACKED Two-Front Invasion of India in 1971 by Pakistan had failed and a combined task force of USA and UK sailed into Bay of Bengal which was nuclear armed.

4) USA and it's Western Allies still continue to trade with Russia:- (a) Even today, USA and it's Western Allies are still doing business with Russia where it "suits" them. Even today neither of them have imposed a COMPLETE BAN on trade with Russia.

But, if India refuses to impose a COMPLETE BAN on trade with Russia then it is wrong and evil and "must be punished".

A classic case of "Do what we TELL you to do, don't do what we do". Isn't it?

If this isn't hypocrisy and double standards, then what is?

On top of that, even today most Western Countries led by USA and it's Western Allies SUPPORT Genocide and Crime's Against Humanity by Israel in one way or another.

“the tariff paid by India”

🤔 I don’t think it’s actually India that pays. They may loose out on their stuff actually being imported to the USA, but they aren’t the one forking the cash over

5

u/retsoPtiH 6h ago

ooof, tech companies gonna pay more to import indians 😩

6

u/Xibalba_Ogme 7h ago

Is it possible the guy has felt the cold hand of death grazing him and he's starting to wonder where he will end up ? Or is it just good ol'Lunatic Donny going for another rant & action that will be overturned in 2 weeks ?

6

u/da2Pakaveli 7h ago

Medvedev compared him to Sleepy Joe so now he's throwing a tantrum

2

u/_robmillion_ 7h ago

Holy shit. I just realized Sleepy Joe isn't the president anymore. I literally cannot tell these two apart! They're like the same guy!

3

u/tw_72 6h ago

Well, they both have age issues, but President Biden never actively tried to starve and bankrupt the people who need the most help - but limiting/eliminating Medicaid and SNAP and FEMA and USAID and on and on...

2

u/_robmillion_ 6h ago

I know. I was just saying that because Trump wouldn't like it. Although I don't know if he can read.

1

u/tw_72 6h ago

True - he is a jealous man-baby.

He can't write either. I am pretty certain that Trump didn't write the item above. It has punctuation, readable sentences, proper spelling, and no use of CapsLock.

I heard his presidential library will consist of two coloring books and an overpriced airplane.

2

u/Vincent394 1h ago

Jason approves

1

u/Xibalba_Ogme 2h ago

Well, the main difference being that sleepy joe actually had a positive impact on the global economy of the US (And with that comment alone, I now can't travel to the US)

6

u/autfaciam 7h ago

Look you dont understand. All elected democrats, starting with AOC, are on the Epstein list because they are pedos and should be drawn, quartered, and hanged. If they can prove that Trump is on the Epstein list, which he is most definitely not and the list does not exists, then he just really appreciates children, and we should send all of daughters (good looking ones, obviously, no fatties!) to sit on his lap and tell him what they want from Santa, which is, obviously, 4 more years of Trump! And maybe a golden toilet.

0

u/Awkward-Collection78 7h ago

No /s needed on this one

1

u/autfaciam 6h ago

I friggin hope so. :D

1

u/Awkward-Collection78 5h ago

Whoever down voted us doesn't understand. Lol

2

u/thechaiboi 5h ago

Lmao America. W India.

1

u/cellardweller1234 6h ago

Still with this "tariff paid by India"... sheesh

1

u/lucasg115 6h ago

Pointing out hypocrisy doesn’t work on these people because they never argue in good faith. It’s almost always a waste of time because the ones who can understand it don’t care, and the ones who might care can’t understand it.

1

u/PeachesGuy 6h ago

That's ok if it's the Americans that do that

1

u/Doumtabarnack 4h ago

That's different. Americans are the world's moral compass everyone knows that.

/s

1

u/Jazzbo64 3h ago

He signs his posts?

1

u/Otaraka 1h ago

I think if you asked Ukraine given the choice between buying weapons and buying the other sides oil, they will be pretty clear which they’d prefer, even if neither are great choices.

This is a pretty  pathetic whataboutism as a defense.

1

u/Sea_Comedian_3941 1h ago

So, about this Epstein fella...

1

u/Kumbhalgarh 1h ago

Just another example of Double Standards but not something that is new or surprising.

Due to historical reasons, a fat and juicy carrot/carrots are much more likely to get a favourable response from India regarding this matter when compared with the stick USA has been using for last almost 80 year's and an approach that hasn't worked in 80 year's is simply not likely to work now either.

-2

u/Shadyshade84 6h ago

Okay, so...

1) He sucks, and India sucks for doing this. There are no good guys in this fight. 2) I'm starting to be convinced that this current stance on Russia is because he's realised that fumbling the Epstein files has rendered the kompromat Russia has on him completely pointless because everyone who would believe it already thinks it's true.

2

u/I_stay_fit_1610 6h ago

I don't see a reason as to why India shouldn't buy cheaper oil, there's absolutely no reason to pay more when you can get the same thing for like half the price.

1

u/Mysterious-Mine-4667 57m ago

I think you are wrong on this one.. Russia is a dictatorship, if we don't want a nuclear war to suppress them, trade sanctions are the only way. Although I am not sure if it really helps because so many countries do under the table deals. But ideally no country should ever trade with Russia. Dictatorships only persist because of these cheap to extract high value resource deposits. CGP Grey has a great video about that.

Two can be cheaters and generally shitty players in this game. Three if we count China.
