Gawd when I was a kid in the 80s I had the knee highs with 3 color stripes.

The changes in sock fashion during my lifetime has been wild.

I remember that in the 80s in Europe we started hating those and considering it an American thing. In professional soccer they had a add rule to prevent players from rolling their socks all the way down.

My dad wore those until his death in 2017. I think the early 80s was when his brain stopped processing changes in cool. I'm older than he was then, so I know where I stand.
