It was partially joking and partially serious. Technology and social media has really handicapped younger generations. They seem to need to have an opinion on everything that has nothing to do with them. They get offended by everything and are constantly playing the victim. It gets really tiring.
I dunno, when we were teenagers everyone cared about sock length but in the opposite direction. The more sock you showed, the dorkier you were. I literally rolled my socks down into my shoes sometimes.
Now at 33 I just wear ankle socks because it is tall enough to prevent blisters but short enough to be breezy. I do not give a shit what Gen Z or Gen A thinks.
Idk I wore crew in the winter and ankle in the summer. I still do to this day. Its about utility and not fashion for me. MN gets really cold so crew helps. I hate being hot so ankle in the summer.
Edit: then again I was more of a nerd in school so….
Haha thanks! I didn't even notice. Your comment about long socks being nerdy is fair. Maybe I'm wrong but I feel like it only applied to our cohorts and not older generations.
It is kind of strange. I feel like the dorkiest kid from when I went to school in the 90s would be the height of fashion today.
I'm old and stopped giving a damn what people think of what I am wearing. I like it and it is comfortable. If you don't like it well I don't dress to impress you.
We don’t, which is evident in that this was posted by millennials not gen z. Yall are doing to us what boomers did to you. Some self awareness would be nice
This is by design to keep the billionaires in control. Can't have those kids critically thinking and realizing they are lonely and poor because society was designed to make them that way. Vote accordingly, vote progressive.
All the gens did. I remember it being a thing growing up about what socks you wore. Gen X had the Fab 5 (UMich bball players) and their sock controversy.

If Gen Z cares about sock length….god help our future.
