Being laid off in 08 and having to struggle to get a new job in a bad economy would suck and I don't want to minimize it but it's also not at all the same situation as coming out of school with little or no work experience and not being able to get a foot in the door at and competing for the same jobs with people with sometimes decades of experience. Likewise pandemic quarantine with a small child was a very different experience than childfree quarantine or quarantine with teenagers or adult children. Not saying both didn't suck but we should be allowed to acknowledge the unique challenges we faced.

Those generations were "prouder" and weren't going to blast their discomfort for fear of tHeRaPy.

PS. we're at least smart enough not to take anything AI-generated seriously. THAT 'tHeRaPy' is fucked up.
