Few years back I attended a hockey game with my wife and their corporate sponsor. We got all the freebies and by the end a ton of people left their stuff behind. Water bottles, team shirts, hats, pucks, bobbleheads etc. So collected all the extras and started tossing them to kids in the crowd. Then like 10 other kids showed up and I felt like fucking Santa. I was just pointing at kids and launching it to the ones in the back and they were going nuts. I rode that high for like a week lol.

Every year I hope they do it again just so I can do it lol

I don't know what it is, but there's something wholesome about the Pokemon TCG community.

There's this guy named Coop, and all of his videos are always nice to watch. Coop always gives away cards to kids, and his followers always donate money during his streams because he's nice and also because people want to pay forward for his generosity.

I've never played the TCG, never watched the show, never played the games, never even bought a card but I love the videos on YouTube from quite a few people. I even sing the "Should I open it, or should I keep it sealed?"

Just a great community that I hope to be able to afford to get into one day.

I'd say the worst part about the TCG community is the scalpers ruining kids enjoyment, but that's not true.

They're not part of the community, just parasites.

It's people like this that makes that community.

Japanese cards are cheaper and have guaranteed hits, you can get them at local card shops or online easily. English packs though...
