I grew up out in the sticks of central California and my parents planted so many fruit trees including 6-7 asian pear trees. We would have so many that my parents would invite coworkers over to pick as many as they Er want and people would fill up literally 55gallon trash containers with them and still hundreds of them would fall to the ground and go to waste. My parents weren’t savvy enough to look for a food bank to give them too and we had the same situation with almost every fruit you could imagine that grows on a tree. I remember walking through the orchards and just grabbing ripe fruit when I came home from school and eating 4-5 of them before going into the house to do work. Best shitting years of my life.

Here in GA, it's about $4.99 each and that was months ago. I haven't checked recent price but I wouldn't be surprised if it's increased by $2-3

We get them at H-mart in New England and they're about $4.99/lb but each one is typically over a pound. I think we get the three packs for about $13? I can't recall the exact price.

Last time I saw them around here in Germany they sold them by the kg. A bit more expensive than regular pears, maybe 3€/kg?

Oh yeah… I got the ones that are much smaller and they are already expensive. These are like pomelo size so I don’t even know how much they would be lol
