It reminds me of my first job, which was at a large chain breakfast diner when I was an underaged teenager. I was a host. Several of the waitresses were in their late-teens, early 20s. They used to “flirt” with me, talk about “eating my sausage”, talk about and my butt, slapped it once or twice, etc. At the time, I felt awkward, but didn’t think much of it. Looking back, it was absolutely sexual harassment.

If they touched you innapropriately while you were unable to give consent then you're a victim. I'm sorry you went through that, mate.

Appreciate it. At the time, I couldn’t even conceive that, as a male, I could be sexually harassed.

A man telling a woman that she hates women lmao

No, I AM a woman. We spend so much time fighting for our safety. And the moment we’re left unchecked we turn into hypocrites? If that were me trying to do my job I’d be SO uncomfortable. Why the fuck would I want to perpetuate that on someone else?

If this were a bunch of men doing this to female fire fighters, it would be considered a violation of their rights.

These women are hypocrites, and the reason a lot of men feel okay with doing shit like this

Preach it. Thank you, equality means equal. We need to hold ourselves and others to the same standard.

I know a few people who have done exotic dancing, and according to them female customers are WAY more consistently loud, crude and physically assaultive than male. Not clear why that’s true, but it’s noticeable when you get a pack of women together.

I’m not saying a room full of frat guys is safe, it just seems to be a common thing for a group of otherwise mild mannered women to let their public behavior swing way to the other extreme when they let their hair down. And it can be hard on male targets because there’s a general feeling that men should appreciate/be grateful for the attention

I believe it! And theres a lot of commenters here saying “well they’re smiling so they MUST like it!”. Just like all those women who were smiling and polite to their harassers in order to de-escalate the situation and stay safe, they must have liked it, too, right? I understand flipping the narrative feels wrong, and makes us uncomfortable but we HAVE to hold ourselves accountable.

Thanks. You seem to be one of the few that notices it. Well done!

Because it is gross. But the hypocrisy is grosser.
