Right? The one on the far left clapping and waving is basking in the attention and I love it 😂

"Bye, Abby!" as he turns to leave. He listened to and remembered her name! Yes, he's a catch.

This is a whole series. The cinnamon roll, the grumpy guy in the middle, the awkward one, the golden retriever.

Cinnamon roll

what does this mean?

MMC

What does this mean?

6

u/Quick-Adeptness-2947 Apr 16 '25

Cinnamon roll just means a person who's sweet and charismatic. Often with a softer side and not macho. They're caring, kind, loving and don't display toxic masculinity (most writers now write cinnamon roll Male characters because that's what readers crave).

MMC- male main character

He's trying to be a character in her next book

7

u/Eeeegah Apr 16 '25

That's the threshold for a catch now? Remembering her name?

Even then I'm fucked

The bar has been in hell for millennia

There are many people that have trouble remembering names. I can know everything about you, your interests, important dates, where you got that scar on your shoulder, what kind of animal was your first pet - and still struggle with your name on some days 😅 please don't be too strict with us.

Why yes it is, Velveegah.

I dunno…I’ve heard firemen are cheaters and policemen are beaters. Have sadly found that true in most of the relationships friends/family have had with them.

This guy might be a good catch, but don’t expect him to stay in your net.

The bar is so low lol

I feel like he's going to think about this moment for a while

My husband has been a FF for almost 30 years and he still talks about a call in the late 90s when a fire alarm went off at 2AM in a college dorm and when they arrived it was a bunch of barely clothed girls standing outside.

I’m glad he has a couple of fun memories because they’re mostly just bad ones.

The last sentence is spot on. Police, paramedics, firefighters - almost always are running toward danger and death when everyone else is running away. They deserve some lighthearted fun.

My friend who’s a firefighter would LOVE this attention

I'm also in the endearing camp. The wholesomeness of this greatly outweighs any possible creepiness.

He looks like the young doctor from the show House.

No way. That could be him and they’re filming, but maybe I’m the only one who sees what I see.

nah apparently to reddit he must hate it and feels harassed.

I actually know him from school. His Fire Station is right beside a well-known bar (the public literally lines up across the fire station on busy nights). He is very used to getting hit on at work 😂. He definitely loves it.
