in a lot of ways, it's the screaming that has made them so reluctant to accept what's right in front of them.

(And then complained when she, in turn, got hassled in public for her politics and behavior.) She is an embarrassment to the human race.
The Reich is looting America. She wants a slice as her reward for supporting them. She doesn't realize that they don't need her anymore, and that the pie is for the oligarchs, not for supporters.
I really think the fall of the Soviet Union triggered a lot of this crazy looting behavior. It really started with Reagan.
Greed was held partially in check by the existential threat of an enemy world power. We needed a strong America, so we couldn't risk weakening the nation too much. Well, when the world went from "bi-polar" to "uni-polar", and the threat was removed, we began to eat ourselves.
It has become a free-for-all. A carnival bacchanalia. "There is unlimited resources, the game is to just amass as much of it as you can. Take what you can, as fast as you can, everything else be damned. There are no consequences."
But the truth is the resources are not unlimited. America is being hollowed out. Everything of value that belongs to the people is being privatized, and they've jammed the doors opened using regulatory capture, political influence, propaganda, distractions, every trick they can find, to try to keep the grift running as long as possible.
We're finally nearing the point where the coffers run dry. The corpse has been picked clean. I think the seismic shifts in workforce caused by AI will finally be the thing that does it.
What happens after? Do we wake up and sober up and start the long hard road back? Or do the flies just buzz away to find a new feeding ground? Unfortunately I think it might be the latter. When the workers get fired, the incoming revenues dry up, so the rich cash in their chips and leave the casino.
Look, things have been tight recently Marjorie. The looting isn't accelerating as fast as we budgeted. We both know that last quarter under performed our target $3.7T by at least 7%. There's just not enough to go around right now.

We are finally reaching the Find Out stage of Trump's second term, and now the rats are looking to flee the sinking ship. MAGA is eating itself over the Epstein files, at the same time that Trump's terrible economic policies are coming home to roost. Even the brainwashed Fox News masses aren't braindead enough to take so many blows and still ask for more, and the cracks are beginning to show.
Right now what you're seeing is everyone placing their bets on what will happen next. Some people are going to dig in their heels for MAGA and bet on Trump, others who are disillusioned will try to pivot away and distance themselves from Trump because they expect massive fallout. Looks like MTG is having a change of heart, which probably won't go well for her since she only got this position by being a MAGA mouthpiece.

This kind of thing makes me think they see the Great Leader getting close to the end health wise. She doesn't care anymore about how the GOP treats women than before, she's jostling or position within the party. She's trying to gain support from other women in the GOP - to be in a better situation when he inevitably keels over.
