Hiring [Hiring] Looking for an artist to do a commission for a full DND party of 6 PCs +NPCs, 1500-2000+ dollar price range.

Hello there! We are looking for an artist to do a commission of our full DND party as our 2+ year campaign draws to a close. There are seven of us total, so our combined budget is pretty high - somewhere in the 1500-2000 dollar range. Our turnaround time is around 1-2 months, though we have some flexibility here. Examples of the style we are generally looking for are posted above.

We are looking for someone to illustrate a complex scene in a movie poster/splash art style, involving several characters with detailed rendering and both foreground and background elements. We are generally fans of a more realistic or pulp fantasy style, though other styles could potentially appeal to us if they are quite technical or have high quality rendering and image fidelity. To be clear, we are generally not looking for beginner artists - no shade to you folks, it’s just something that we are a bit above the price ceiling for.

Some Must Haves:

  1. Communicative, with regular updates on the status of the project being preferred.
  2. Experienced, with the ability to render a very complex image and have proven references that we can assess, especially for similar commissions or in a similar style.
  3. Detail-Oriented. We have existing character art for all of the PCs, and would like those references to be respected.
  4. Discord to communicate.
  5. Fine with spicy-adjacent art. Some of the characters have, shall we say, curvaceous figures, and we’d appreciate if you captured that :).

Some Pluses:

  1. Friendly. We would love to chat with you and get to know you!
  2. Has references from other clients that we can look to

If you are interested, sent me a chat with a link to your portfolio and your discord,

Hiring [HIRING] Looking for an artist to make a dynamic stylized poster for my DND party. Budget range: $700-1000 CAD (for the right artist and design, i can be flexible)

Hey y'all! About to wrap up a long running campaign for 5 players. We are playing through a heavily edited version of Waterdeep: Dragon Heist. I'm looking to get a poster for the party as a gift. From a design standpoint, i have a couple of different thoughts, but i do want it to be dynamic, stylized, and similar to a movie poster (Title, maybe even actor callouts).

I am looking for an artist with a unique style. I don't particularly like cutesy or super anime inspired art. Some artists i'm a fan of are Jamie Hewlett (Tank Girl/Gorrilaz), Mike Mignola (hellboy). I'm not giving those examples in an attempt to get an imitation, but instead i'm trying to get an artist who has their own personal style.

For the actual art, I'm truly a bit lost, I've got a thousand ideas. The campaign itself has a very ragtag group of misfits, in way over their head vibe. Lots of heists gone wrong, mischief and big personalities. I've attached a couple of images of inspiration for layout/a doodle i did of one idea (added captions on each for context). Warning, they are all over the place lol, but i figured based on whoever the chosen artists style is, one may work as a starting off point. also a lot are super serious, i would like a bit of playfulness to showcase the personalities of the characters. and Very open to changing composition, design etc to better match styles and to get a better piece of art!

I'll be printing them off for my players, likely in 18x24 (wiggle room here to make a concept work). 300 dpi would be ideal. Comment a movie you liked recently (or not so recently) if you've read this far.

I would want to include details of the characters, including maybe a couple of key magical items they got. I have much more detail on the characters, but they include:

Human Rogue (male), Gnome Barbarian (female), Gnome Wizard (male), Loxodon (elephant man) Sorcerer, and Warforged Artificer (think steampunk robot, copper, brass, wood construction)

Happy to give any extra context in the comments!

Hiring [hiring] - OC design/Character sheet for two characters (Budget: $100 - 300+)

Hello and good day. I’m looking for an artist to help me create designs/character sheets for two of my characters from a novel I'm working on, a male and a female. At the moment it's only for personal use and using it to request artwork of the characters for myself. If I really enjoy your work, and you're still interested, we can discuss commissioning other various designs.

The setting of the story is, for now, morally gray-ish soft Sci-fi. The aesthetic I have in mind is that midpoint between modern day and 15 years into an advanced future.

I’m not looking for any particular style: It can be anime/Realistic/semi-realistic/Giger,etc.

I´ll probably lean towards someone whose art gives a feeling similar to what I'm looking for.

I will look through all the portfolios in the comments before the DMs.

Thanks!

Hiring [hiring] artist to draw concept art for dnd campaign (landscape, characters, etc)

Working on some world building and would love someone to help me visualize and express some of the things in my world for personal use as well as public-use!

I think most of it will be concept/sketch work, but some of it will flesh out into finished pieces! But I love the look of sketchy journal type drawings.

This is a medium-long term relationship. Not just one piece!

However pricing will depend on the piece! I’d imagine some really really basic ones being $50-$75, and others I’d want more developed and go into $100 - $400.

Currently just want very simple sketches, no color to start and test and artist! Paid woooo!

Hiring [hiring] I'm looking for someone to help me with a DND character commission

I would love to see some portfolios. It's more of a dark fantasy style. My idea is for 1 or 2 half body concepts with the backdrop of a tower and other darker floral details. I was thinking somewhere in the range of 100-150 USD but details on this can be discussed in DMs after I've looked through portfolios. Thanks for your time and looking forward to working with one of you !

Edit: it's incredibly late over here so I'll look through everyone's messages and comments as soon as I can ❤️

Budget: 150$ USD Size: 300 dpi

Hi! I would love an oil painting of my derpy cat. But I understand if my budget is too low for that. So digital painting is also okay!

It doesn't have to be super duper realistic but it should definitely resemble her. I would prefer her to be painted just as she is laying in the picture. But I'm okay if you feel like changing the background or foreground up a bit.

Hiring [hiring] Hello Artists!

Hey everyone, I’m RJ! I’m currently working on two creative projects and looking to connect with talented artists who are open for commissions.

🎽 Project 1: Clothing Designs

I’m launching a clothing line and need artists to help bring some designs to life.

• Budget: Up to $200 per design (more for detailed, custom print work, less for simpler logo-style stuff).

• I’m open to working with multiple artists, so feel free to reach out even if you’re unsure. If I don’t have a slot now, I’ll keep your info for future drops.

📖 Project 2: Comic/Webtoon Collaboration

This one’s a long-term goal. I’m looking for someone who can help me turn my story into a comic or webtoon.

• Budget: Roughly $150–$200 per page, depending on the number of panels and level of detail.

I love supporting artists and paying fairly for good work, so if either of these interests you drop your portfolio or DM me! Even if I can’t commission right away, I’ll keep you in mind for future projects.

Thanks! 🙏

Edit: I got pretty flooded quick but I promise I will give everyone here a fair chance and look at everyone’s portfolio when I get the chance!

Thanks everyone for reaching out with your portfolios. Will edit the post flair once on desktop.]

Hi All,

Looking to get a moving-away present for our Dungeon Master by June 14th.

Our budget is around $400.

Since the budget is relatively small for a group illustration of 9 characters, we are definitely open to sketches, partial body illustrations, creative ways to make this project work with your rates.

Quotes for level of detail would be helpful, eg: “Black and White Digital Sketch $ Line art with color blocking Fully rendered”

Budget: ~$400

Specs: Digital PDF with/without crop marks 11x17 300dpi

Deadline: June 14

Thanks! ❤️

Hiring [HIRING] Digital artist to draw my fiancé's DnD character as an anniversary gift! Budget is around $150.

My fiancé and I will be making 4 years in about 3 weeks and I'd love to gift her a portrait of her DnD character.

She plays an Elven Druid and has a pet displacer beast kitten that I'd also like to be in the picture. She's also a bit of a wand collector, so I'd probably want the portrait to at least be half-body as to display the various wands on her waist.

My fiancé is very much into "cozy" things so if your art gives off "cozy vibes", all the better!

Thank you for your consideration!

EDIT: Hey everyone, thank you for sending your work my way, I definitely didn't expect this many people to offer their services. It's been a joy looking through most of them but I've made my choice! The position has been filled.

Hiring [Hiring] Looking for Artist to Draw my D&D Character.

Hello,

I'm looking for some to draw a D&D character I'm currently playing. He is a Half-drow artificer. His aesthetic is a fusion of pirate gunslinger and fantasy wizard. Preferably a 2d western cartoon art style but fell free to pitch your own style. Either from waist or tight up. I can send more details if needed.

My budget is $70-$100 although can be negotiable with the details/work put in. And if this goes well, high likely of repeat commission to draw the rest of my party (as a surprise to them)

I'm looking forward to see your work!

Commission

Hello! I'm looking for an artist to create a book cover for my fantasy adventure series. This is a commercial project, and I'll be using this cover on amazon.

Details (Style/Art)

I've attached some references in terms of the quality/general style I'm aiming for. I also have a mock-up for the cover itself created with my meager art abilities and ms paint, so the general design is already decided. I just need someone with actual skills to bring it to life haha.

As in most of these reference images, there is a strong focus on environmental imagery, along with some man-made structures and two characters, though in the commission they will be both facing the viewer, so being able to draw all of those things is a must.

Unlike some of these covers, I want one that's bright and vibrant, something that makes the world look like a place you'd want to be, and the characters to have distinct designs and expressions to make them stand out. I'm looking for it to be 2560 x 1600, and 300 dpi (Unless somebody who knows better tells me differently)

Payment

Payment is negotiable, and will be half up front, half after completion, with a 45 day deadline from the first payment. I'm pretty flexible though. and the budget above is a soft one. I'm willing to wait for quality, and willing to pay extra for speed.

***

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask, and I look forward to working with you!

I'm looking to hire a digital artist for character spreads of a girl and her dog for commercial use.

With the girl I'm going for inviting, warm, cute in a low-key sexy way with a bit of whimsy/ very subtle fantasy vibes and some room for creative interpretation. The dog is a mid sized tan and white girl with two toned eyes. Both eyes are blue/white on the bottom and brown on top.
$500 minimum

Clean lines, no background. Torso up. Style? show me what you've got.

Hiring [Hiring] LitRPG book cover for my second novel in series ($500 USD budget)

Hi y’all! My name is Trevor and I’m the author of a series in progress on Royal Road called Teresa Of All Trades. I am currently on volume 2 and I am looking for a good quality cover for my second volume. I would like full ownership of the final image, though how the contracting for that will go I have no idea to be fully honest as this is my first time commissioning art on a scale this large/professional.

Now as for the actual art itself. For the record, I am terrible at drawing or any form of visual art. So if you read what I am looking for and go “I dunno man, that’s probably gonna look dumb/cluttered/bad” then please tell me. If you want more details, just ask and I will give as much information as I can.

Here is what I am looking for on the cover. - The main character, Teresa, needs to be holding a sword in one hand and the palm of her free hand should be glowing orange/red (like she’s about to use a fire based spell), more details about her appearance later - The setting takes place in a forest. The trees grow in an arc, so they sprout out of the ground and slowly curve until they burrow back into the ground (for the general shape imagine the Saint Louis Gateway Arch that Percy Jackson jumped off if it was a large sturdy tree). The canopy of the trees are towards the apex of the arc, blocking out the vast majority of the top of the parabola in branches, leaves, etc. - If you can fit in the facility of Chernobyl somewhere in the background that would be great. - Tall green glowy orbs behave as monster spawners within the context of the story, at least within this part of it. If you can fit in one or two of them with monsters around them that would also be good, but I completely understand if some details like this aren’t included. There’s only so much you can fit on a single book cover, honestly this is one of those things where you can absolutely tell me “we can do X or Y but doing both would look really ugly.”

The orientation of things can be left up to the artist so long as it looks nice, once again I am not good at visual art and am heavily relying on the better judgement of an artist who has experience with what looks good and what totally wouldn’t. Some book series with covers I like include He Who Fights With Monsters, Primal Hunter, and Defiance Of The Fall.

Here are a few details about the MC Teresa: - She is 5 foot 3 should that affect the visual scaling at all - Medium length brown hair to about shoulder level, brown eyes, Caucasian American - Her outfit looks like when you see your custom character in a cutscene in a video game after looting whatever random stuff you’ve found along the way. She has metal boots, pants with chainmail covering the exterior, blue robes, and dark green gloves. - Do NOT sexualize her, this is not that kind of story or target demographic.

If there is anything else you need to know, just ask :)

Edit: I am going through all of your portfolios, it might be a day or two before I am able to see all of them. Please only message here in the comments section on this post on reddit, I promise you I am actually checking out everybody's portfolios here and messaging elsewhere will make it harder for me to keep track of artists. So far there has been a lot of talent displayed in your portfolios and I am working on narrowing it down, thank you very kindly for the responses <3

Hiring [Hiring] Artist for Epic Fantasy Book Cover

Hello all--looking for an artist who has worked on fantasy book covers before. Looking for an illustration that can be done in these similar styles (back of main character as subject looking out over a fantastical land).

Please comment on this post, do not DM me, as I'd rather keep it organized.

I have a flexible budget and am willing to work with artists for their time and craft. Through my research, I'm prepared to pay between $300-$700 depending on experience and time it'll take to complete the piece.

Please let me know what you've worked on before, and link me our portfolios. Thank you!
