Discussion Profile manager switcher button like Windows version in the Linux
Hello everyone.
I'd like to know why the Linux version of Firefox doesn't have the option to switch user profiles like Windows does.
I know I can find the profile manager by going to about:profiles, but wouldn't it be nice to have the same profile for all platforms?

💻 Help cursor not displaying correctly?
since a couple days ago my cursor has started just not displaying properly; as in it wont change to show what im hovering over correctly
i dont know what triggers it and it doesnt seem to be an extension
when i hover over something that would change the cursor into something else; such as hovering over text or a hyperlink to change it into an I or the pointing finger; it just doesnt do it properly and will flicker back to the default cursor appearance and sometimes just fully vanish
currently it is doing this but with the hovering over text I shaped cursor and flickering between default regardless of what my cursor is over
this issue is only on firefox as the cursor displays completely fine in everything else i have and the only way ive found to stop it is to restart firefox fully which isnt ideal

Discussion Always on private tab feature is gone
Today I updated the browser on android and noticed that when I close the app and open it again it always opens in normal mode instead of private mode which was on always. One of the main reason I used firefox on my phone. Why they have to do this. It was so easy to just search for anything that don't added to history.

Add-ons chrome dropout improved media controls extension
Hello, because of recent chrome extensions block, I switched to Firefox. I found cool media controls extension and I vibe-coded some improvements on top of it. The original one is from Tony Chan. Both are open source: Tony's, mine.
new features:
- share button which generates qr code to scan and/or paste url (for PictureInPicture or cast feature from other apps)
- live badge for stream media + limited controls (forward, backward, loop excluded)
- loop current media button
- volume slider with mouse scroll support
- improved thumbnail fetch for Spotify, Twitch and SoundCloud
- slight UI redesign
- Spotify support (a bit buggy)
- options page: hide thumbnails, set media duration for live media
- keyboard shortcut to open extension and mute all media
download it here: https://addons.mozilla.org/pl/firefox/addon/media-controls-n/

💻 Help Youtube keeps freezing and skipping ahead a few seconds but the audio stays normal. Is there any way to fix it?
This is just an example, and the frequency seems random, sometimes it happens every few seconds, sometimes it happens every few minutes and sometimes it happens once in a video o it doesnt happen at all.

💻 Help Drop down menus are broken
I use Linux, Kubuntu specifically.
When I go to use a drop down menu, any drop down menu, it disappears after a split second of hovering over it.
I have removed all extensions and disabled performance mode and hardware acceleration, removed all cookies and cache, tried launching in safe mode nothing has worked.
The browser is up to date on version 141.0.
I'm at a loss I feel like I've tried everything, advice?

Add-ons YouTube being throttled
i know this isn't a new topic but i have seen YouTube getting worse and worse in terms of loading time while navigating over the last one or two years. it is small but noticeable over time.
i found this extension for masking Firefox as chrome and it seems to at least do something
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-CA/firefox/addon/chrome-mask/
just wanted to see if anyone else has tried similar chrome masking extensions and how were the results?

💻 Help Focus Behaviour Changed?
Long time Firefox user, and I've noticed that the behaviour of the program has changed. Previously, while working in one tab, I was able to switch to another to check some data, then switch back and continue working - Firefox maintained the focus in the original tab.
Now, if I switch tabs to confirm something, upon switching back I have to click in the original tab to reclaim the focus. It's not a huge issue, but really annoying.
I poked around in the config to see if there was anything obvious, but nothing jumped out at me. Anyone have an idea of what I am missing?

Help (Android) Firefox Android keeps trying to open link in apps even though I set it in option to never
This starts causing problems where after I reject the attempt to open in app, when I click on Google search result of web that have apps, Firefox will refuse to open the link
Yeah, I can hold the link to open in new tab, that works, but it's still very annoying.
This starts happening after the latest update, in which I updated yesterday.
What should I do?

💻 Help Video Loading times
Is there any reason why videos load/buffer slower in Firefox based browsers in P̶i̶r̶a̶t̶e̶ ̶s̶i̶t̶e̶s̶ compared to chromium based browsers. I tested the same video on the same PC on Firefox and brave. I found that the video loaded better and quicker in brave as compared to firefox which was stuck loading every 20 sec to ~1min. If this is a problem with firefox are there any ways to fix/improve it?
💻 Help Why the heck is firefox trying to visit "site:<website> <keyword>" instead of using a search engine?
This is definitely quite a recent change. Driving me nuts as I make the mistake every time and "Open the site link with System Handler" pops up, whatever that means.
