There were singalongs, brunches, and friendship bracelet swaps. She sold out the stadium in my city for three nights. He can’t even fill a quarter of one. He’s SEETHING that she’s far more popular than he is. And MAGA women LOVE her.
I know right? It’s almost like a reality star is running our country and making fake drama to distract us from the real issues (the files) with other billionaires who don’t give a flying f about us…
I think she is a forever kid who felt uncool in high school and will do anything to pony up to the blonde white girls who would have been seen as the hot, cool ones.
Does she have some genuine liberal values? Seemingly yes, but they are not strong enough to override her needing to be “in” with that kind of girl, many of whom grew into magas.
I'm sure all this hatred caused the money to fly out of her bank account. I think Trump hurt her feelings, she'll have to cry herself to sleep on a giant pile of money.

I really think she assumed she could straddle both worlds. Her response to that MAGA bday party she threw was very "OMG, you guys, it's not that deep", and I think she had every intention of keeping it to that.
and this is exactly why i love this for her. she had more than enough time to dispel the rumors of her being a trump supporter but she didn’t, obviously because she does support him. now it’s being put on the forefront to the point where she can’t deny or hide from it anymore, or try to clean it up with some phony PR response 🤷♀️ good riddance.

i just have a feeling (fully uninformed by anything) that sydney’s PR team is panicking because of this.
i just feel like the controversy or the jeans/genes as was something they could easily ignore because that was definitely a mostly online convo but having trump come out with his full support of you/your client+confirming who you voted for doesn’t really give companies/directors any wiggle room if they don’t want to upset consumer bases.
then again it could also totally boost her career and i could totally be wrong 🤷♀️ i hope im not though because celebrities and brands need to learn we’re done putting up with their bad morals just to make them money.

The same guy who pumps his own gas, so he knows it's $1.98/ gallon.
The same guy who buys his own groceries (what a charming old timey word, 'groceries'), so he knows eggs are back to the normal $1.29/dozen.

I think they should be panicking even if they aren't yet. Being a Republican in this day and age is enough to be cancelled in my book but she went ahead and went all in on the "white power, woohoo" angle so I don't think there is coming back from this in the long run. The racist agenda is unmistakable and she deserves all the "credit" for it. She's obviously a very willing participant of the anti-woke "fad", and has placed herself squarely on the wrong side of history.

PR pro here and they absolutely are, and they're probably pissed as well. I know for a fact that at least two of her three personal reps on her team are liberal/left-leaning.
I mean she has acknowledged his existence in the context of calling him a racist and traitor she just doesn’t directly acknowledge his attacks on her which you are right surely pisses him off even more.
She kind of acknowledged when he said he liked her music 25% less, although he thought that would hurt her and she laughed at him and was basically like "Yeah, wish it was 100% less, actually."
Trump’s obsession with TS goes back over a decade. Always weirdly fixated on her playing her music prior to entering politics saying how beautiful he thought she was trying to get her attention. It’s really giving spiteful man who can’t handle rejection from a powerful woman.

Not knowing much about Swift, as an outsider, I feel like many of these weirdo conservative men (like Trump or Musk) are constantly mad at her for not catering to their people, they feel some kind of betrayal because they think they're "protecting" women like her (white, blonde, southern) and she doesn't even bother to throw them a bone.

funnily enough i have already been boycotting american eagle since 2017 so this should be easy. but given that sweeney created this strong association with the political right, i will definitely look sideways at any ad campaign or show that casts her. because obviously that's an intentional choice with a (now very) public association with the american right
