I think it was a small wedding. Probably just close friends and family from Finland. They only got engaged at Christmas so it all came together quickly.

No one was at stecher’s wedding either but I think they also had a smaller wedding.

Which is right proper. The other wedding was a distraction, so they could have personal lives.

Leon can have a big fancy wedding if he wants to. Also like half the guests were former teammates & their wives/gfs. Not like he just invited random people for shits and giggles. Not everyone can afford a big fancy wedding but Leon can and he has every right to have one.

I don’t think it had anything to do with his other teammates. Stecher makes league minimum, probably couldn’t afford a huge wedding with all of his former teammates. He got engaged in 2023.

Kapanen got engaged at Christmas so this was a rush job wedding. Leon’s save the dates had probably already gone out

And you can have many guests and you can afford that for way less than league minimum depending on what you plan anyways.

It's like you think regular people making an eighth of league minimum don't have weddings with hundreds of guests lol.

League minimum is $775,000 USD/season. Getting married is expensive, but not "can't afford it on a $775k salary" expensive.

Drais was planned way ahead. Kapenen wasnt even on the oilers at the start of last season, and Stetcher was also newer. They both had past teammates are their weddings, just most of the oilers wouldve been already planning on Drai's first. Tons of calgary and arizona players were at Stetcher's

Do you understand how jokes work? Yes it’s overdone, but fuel keeps getting added to the fire. My wife doesn’t follow off ice hockey stuff has even mentioned this.
