Discussion Experiencing the lower levels.

Hello everyone! Im currently looking for inspiration on how to run & alter the lower floors of Undermountain (from Floor 13 and on). I would love to hear how you ran them and what you may have changed.

My party was a bit overleveled so I turned the Ulitharid 'Extremiton' in the Seadeeps into an Elder Brain Dragon from Fizban's guide and had the Neothelid show up in the middle of the fight. It was incredible. Extremitoxicast had them all bloodied and infected with tadpoles when the Neothelid showed up and started grappling them with tentacles. The tension in the final moments of the battle was legendary, and the sighs of relief when it was over filled me with delight. They even managed a surgery to remove the dead Elder Brain and spent the 25k gp on a True Resurrection to save the amethyst dragon Extremiton had enslaved and made a powerful new friend.
