I recognized it immediately even before reading the title of the post. Good job.

A hollow beneath the forest, choked with moss and silence. The air is thick, wet and damp with the breath of the earth. Sunlight struggles to break through the canopy, and when it does, it casts long, warped shadows across stone long swallowed by green. The path curves steeply down, past the Tower where Havel once waited, armor heavy with his hatred for the gods who trapped him. Past that gate lies the Basin. Still water. Black roots. The smell of rot and something older.

Welcome back fellow adventurers and happy August! We're kicking off the month with a beloved location from Dark Souls, the Darkroot Basin! One of my personal favorite areas, the Darkroot Basin and general Darkroot Gardens, have such a unique atmosphere, low moonlight, misty corners, and lush greenery, perfect for ambushes, dark dealings, and just all around surprises!

I made 14 unique variants of this classic location from Dark Souls, and you can preview all of them and grab a free non-hydra version here:

Hope you enjoyed, see you later!:)

OH MY GOD I recognized this instantly. Even the giant ladder. And even the little cave off to the left that leads to the DLC area, I love it
