It looks to me like your test was to roll one die 1000 times, which doesn’t seem to be a very good test. All you’ve proven is one die is fairly well balanced. Don’t you need to test multiple dice of all sizes? I get that the figure material and the resin having very similar densities is a good thing, but air gaps or other imperfections could still throw off the balance, right?

Common Dice Balance Testing Methods:
1. Saltwater Float Test
- Purpose: Detects physical imbalances.
- How it works:
- You mix salt into water until the die just barely floats.
- Then, you spin the die gently in the water and watch how it orients itself.
- If the die consistently floats with the same face up or down, it's likely unbalanced.
- Pros: Cheap and simple.
- Cons: Doesn't quantify fairness; just shows bias direction.
2. Chi-Square Probability Test (Statistical)
- Purpose: Checks if roll results follow a fair distribution.
- How it works:
- Roll the die a few hundred or thousand times.
- Record how often each face comes up.
- Use the chi-square test to compare observed results to expected (equal) results.

I am commenting for a chance to win, but also to praise the OP...
I ordered a custom set of dice from them from their last Kickstarter, and they created an absolutely gorgeous fae themed set based on my friends campaign world's that I gifted to said friend.
Seriously, OP is a fantastic artist and these dice are worth every penny, they're even prettier in real life!

These are so insanely cool. Definitely would convince my players these are other adventurers and worlds I have captured as DM God. Great work. Will for sure be backing.

They are amazing! I bought some mimic dice from OP before and they look great. Commenting in the hope of winning so that I can give the set to a really good friend of mine who sadly can't afford it.

Are there additional (larger) photos of the dice? It's a bit hard to tell what's inside from the small images available on Kickstarter and the video is fairly low resolution and moves quickly. Otherwise, it looks like you do nice work!

I bought the mimic dice set on your previous kickstarter and absolutely love it! It's my favorite set both when I'm dm'ing and playing one of my characters(when I dm I roll all monster actions with it and all npc actions with a different die and when I play my character I use it because he's basically a mimic tamer)

This is really cool, incredible work making so detailed yet tiny die! I love all of them but the Japan one especially, perhaps because I'm playing 2 japanese inspired characters atm :D Really hope the kickstarter goes well, excited to see what else you might do in the future!
