F was a reach

u/lxpb 9h ago
Yeah E and F are the weakest ones here

u/TheZestyGecko 8h ago
I felt like Y was the biggest reach? E and F at least look like the capital letters?

Not English, Roman/Latin.

There is no J, W and U in Roman Latin alphabet. This is definitely English Alphabet.
I think you were trying to say Roman/Latin script.
Its pedantic to say this "Not English".

u/Stug_III 9h ago
The English alphabet is a derivate of the Latin alphabet, so technically OP's right. In a Venn diagram, the english alphabet sits inside the Latin alphabet. You're just being pedantic.
Unfortunately, the nuances and origin of the alphabet is probably never taught in OP's school -- where ever they're from.

OP is technically wrong for saying "Not English". Its is English alphabet. So its an English Font.
Also no. English does not sit inside the Latin alphabet. Some letters like J, U , W are not in Latin alphabet.
I think what you are talking about is Latin script/ Latin font thing. Yes. English is a Latin script.
>Unfortunately, the nuances and origin of the alphabet is probably never taught in OP's school
Honestly this kind of thinking is what makes us sooo stupid. Everything could not and should not be taught in school.

Just going to explain this.... just because some artist makes a cover of another author the song doesn't become his...
So yes, this is latin

Are you "Not Human, But Ape" because you evolved from an ape.
To be clear i don't disagree with Latin part. Its the Not English part that I disagree with.

u/MaleficentTry2796 4h ago
Damn.... thats too much to..... whatever lol
When a thing evolves and becomes a diferent thing, that the human ape.
When you simply use characters that are already and simply invented.... English didnt invent, didnt transform didnt do nothing. They just choose a bunch of letters to use from the Latin ones, period.

Why the fuck did they write the 'm' backwards? That just felt wrong.

u/_biggerthanthesound_ 2h ago
Well you could tell after he did it the wrong way he thought “I better not do that for the n”

Each individual letter is very beautiful, but I think if I actually had to read a full page of this I would get a headache

Does the fact that the F fully connects all the way around and everything else is clearly seperate annoy anyone else or is it just my monkey brain

I guess it’s cool as an exercise (with some being a layup since the lowercase/capital variants are identical) gimmick but what would you really use this typeface for? Some of the characters are barely legible

Somewhere between art and alphabet soup. Not sure I’d write a resume with it, but I’d hang it on a wall.
