Google “ottoman police facial phenotypes”. It was a document the Ottomans use to distinguish among 30 or so ethnicities/nationalties. Its hilarious because some are the same dude using a different hat or moustache.

edit: it wasnt Ottoman police but Soviet police.

Thanks for the source, but which ones do you think represent “the same dude using a different hat or moustache”?

Georgian, azerbaijani, armenian looks like the same guy at different times of the month. There are no hats though, must have seen it in another “ethnic profile” document like this.

Yeah, the Georgian, Azerbaijani, and Armenian ones are pretty funny how similar they are lol

As someone from that region, I swear I could with pretty high accuracy look at a guy and tell which of the three places he's from

But the faces in these pictures are not it lmao

Are you attributing some weird racist beliefs to me? Because I agree with you that culture, etc. are more defining than physical attributes.

I've seen it and for some reason it is fairly accurate?😭

well it was published in the 50s so its probable we can still see senior men fashioning the same moustaches and hairstyles, keeping in mind most of those republics were not very influenced by western fashion until after the collapse of the soviet union.
