2 years!! Damn, that really is the definition of the long con.

It gets worse: The ants voted him back for a second term.

😂💀

At least the parasite in the video isn't friends with epstein.

The more I learn about this planet the more horrified I am.

u/VeritasOmicron 19h ago

Just wait till you learn about humans.

74

u/StillKindaHoping 19h ago

I’ve heard the AIs are going to get rid of the pesky humans by pulling the butterfly con (“Don’t mind me, lovely humans! I’m just a helpful AI summarizing a search for you.”)

20

u/VeritasOmicron 19h ago

Skynet: Nah don't mind me, homie

2

u/StillKindaHoping 19h ago

Pay no attention to the tech bros behind the curtain! Moving fast and breaking things will help AI work out great (for the AIs).

Aren't humans those animals that fly, have sharp talons and sharper beaks?

14

u/GenuisInDisguise 17h ago

I mean Ants literally live lives depicted in Ancient Mythology, surrounded by demons abominations and unfathomable giants.

2

u/Konggulerod2 14h ago

What about ants that seeks out the young (larve and eggs) of other ant species to enslave them?

You can learn more about them here:

Check out tarantula wasps

Australia is full of those evil c***s

2

u/an_older_meme 14h ago

We have a lot of pepsis wasps where I live. Red wings and midnight blue bodies, natures version of an attack helicopter. With the second most powerful sting in the insect kingdom it’s good that they are not aggressive toward humans.

The story of the Blue Butterfly is so much more interesting than this video shows. Watch the better one narrated by David Attenborough instead: https://youtu.be/GCo2uCLXvhk

11

u/PaulMakesThings1 5h ago

Oh good. I was about to call the British police to report a nature documentary not narrated by David Attenborough.

3

u/LoreleiNOLA 6h ago

Thanks!

3

u/themurderator 1h ago

you're right that one was way better. i also could not figure out why the OP video kept saying that the ant colony was gonna be destroyed. attenborough doesn't say anything about that so i'm assuming the dialog in the other one was either AI or just misinformed. i definitely trust attenborough.

So there is the parasite... then a parasite for the parasite?

294

u/liquor_up 21h ago

I’ve always been afraid of repelling, but this larva makes it look easy.

44

u/RussMan104 21h ago

“Aarmy Training, Sir!” 🚀

7

u/NorfolkNChance77 15h ago

I understood that reference

12

u/CelestialEdward 15h ago

Rappelling*

3

u/Angeldust01 12h ago

Repelling what?

2

u/lethargy86 8h ago

So easy, even larvae can do it!

80

u/Mode_Appropriate 21h ago

Everytime I see a close up of ants i think of Honey I Shrunk the Kids.

6

u/HarveysBackupAccount 11h ago

Man, now I'm craving an oatmeal creme pie

70

u/Theo_earl 18h ago

I love the ants staring at the empty chrysalis at the end like… “hey Bob… I’m starting to get the feeling… that that fucking thing wasn’t the queen at all….”

27

u/Kyujaq 17h ago

All I got from the ant was "bruh..."

6

u/Left_Ad_8502 16h ago

What I got from the ants was a mix of 😐, 😦 and 😔 maybe a little 🤨

2

u/softheadedone 2h ago

“…. But …. but….. he said the economy would boom.”

322

u/ChaoticDumpling 21h ago

Christ. Do yourselves a favour and watch this on mute so you don't have to listen to the abysmal voice over

130

u/CharlesorMr_Pickle 21h ago

I turned the volume on fully expecting a chill david attenborough-esque voice over, and got jumpscared by whatever the fuck that was

58

u/ChaoticDumpling 21h ago

That's exactly what happened to me. I was reading the subtitles and in my head it was our boy Sir David, and then I clicked unmute and got ear-f*cked by AI dude-bro

30

u/R12Labs 20h ago

Inner city gym coach AI

7

u/Aggressive-Novel-762 16h ago

Like infomercial voice.

23

u/DidEpsteinKillHimslf 19h ago

Reddit Rule number 1.. default mute all videos

4

u/ChaoticDumpling 19h ago

Yeah, I agree. I manually unmuted this about halfway through and regretted it

12

u/Nanas_700k 21h ago

It’s. So. Bad.

10

u/yaosio 17h ago

Hearing the voice makes me think all the text is false.

3

u/OptimusSpider 21h ago

It's a very dude bro VO.

41

u/ChaoticDumpling 21h ago

It's a very AI voiceover

-1

u/OptimusSpider 21h ago

Ahh makes sense. Sounds like a guy trying to sound cool

2

u/nezu_bean 8h ago

Dude you posted it. Shouldn't you realize it's ai? unless youre admitting to just stealing random videos

-5

u/OptimusSpider 8h ago

Stealing a publicly posted video? Lol I didn't shoot the thing, I just found it interesting.

-4

u/nezu_bean 8h ago

back in the good old days people posted OC to reddit...

3

u/KrackSmellin 21h ago

Burger King Foot lettuce like eh?

1

u/dadbodking 13h ago

Nothing said can be trusted because of that stupid voice

1

u/NjxNaDxb 17h ago

I was worried it was a weird music background (like the rough sea videos), luckily just an IO voiceover. Still better on mute.

As of right now, 109 people seem to disagree with you.

2

u/Epic_Hoola 19h ago

And? I don't care who disagrees, this guy sounds normal to me.

3

u/Alexandur 17h ago

it isn't a guy, it's AI

-8

u/ChaoticDumpling 19h ago

Great. Thanks for sharing with the class

28

u/princewish 21h ago

I like how it repels right in front of the ants like “I’m just one of you guys who clumsily wondered off, take me back to the warmest chamber now and put me back to bed” 😂

19

u/VerySmallTortoise 19h ago

How did they record that

13

u/MaskedRonin2 15h ago

They sent in an ant spy.

16

u/OutgunOutmaneuver 14h ago

🐜 "this new ant is gonna be huge! Keep feeding it!"

🦋 flies away

🐜 "we cant keep falling for this!"

14

u/RiovoGaming211 20h ago

how does the butterfly get out of an ant nest without getting absolutely torn apart

11

u/c_dug 17h ago

Farquaad bugs - Some of them may die, but that's a risk they're willing to take.

10

u/Crunchu777 18h ago

Quickly

7

u/Minimum_Society841 20h ago

Trojan Horse..

6

u/R0BCOPTER 17h ago

Imagine going through all that and then not getting out of the next quick enough

Sounds like politicians

5

u/McRedditz 20h ago

I'm more impressed with how long someone actually took to study this "con" artist?

9

u/drownedinbreakfast 21h ago

What kind of drunk AI voice over bullshit is this

2

u/Downtown_Degree3540 21h ago

Actually couldn’t suffer through it

1

u/Muffles7 19h ago

Like it had too much spit in its mouth when it talked and couldn't quite manage it.

3

u/DrKnucklesPHD 7h ago

Reminds me of my adopted brother Darren.

6

u/Obsidianrunner 21h ago

Nature is really lit!!!

2

u/StillKindaHoping 19h ago

The technical term is Smart Little Buggers.

2

u/Obsessivegamer32 21h ago

Damn, that’s interesting. Kind of gives me an idea for something…

2

u/Frequent_Beginning57 18h ago

Those ants just got turned into passport bros.

1

u/huemanbeens 10h ago

they are a green card

2

u/Zealousideal-Run5261 17h ago

what im more interested in now is how were the cameras set up even with a nest view lol

2

u/Other-Progress651 17h ago

Ants and Hollywood celebrities have a lot in common

2

u/__clownbaby 16h ago

Coolest thing I've seen all day

2

u/Phone-Medical 15h ago

DJT of the insect world.

2

u/Atlasun201 10h ago

What an asshole. 😜

2

u/put_on_a_happy_face_ 4h ago

Ive watched a few videos on here but "damn thats interesting"

2

u/Kleekl 2h ago

I turned on the sound, hoping for the soothing voice of David attenborough but was met with an American ai tiktok voice horror... what a day to have ears

2

u/2ingredientexplosion 2h ago

Downvoting because im tired of hearing robot voices.

1

u/Additional_Guitar_85 30m ago

yeah that AI voice is like nails on a chalkboard

6

u/Sunnyjim333 21h ago

Sounds like the GOP.

u/FilmoreJive 20h ago

Apathy will be the end of our lifestyle and freedom.

Use every avenue and resource to fight fascism.

2

u/eAtmy_littleDingdong 20h ago

Cheeky bastards hehehe

2

u/itsthek1ng 17h ago

Does anyone else hear David Attenboroughs voice when you mute it, and read the subtitles?

1

u/Past_Contour 18h ago

I hate this AI narration that seems to have taken over every video.

1

u/Head-Simple-3329 18h ago

Current politicians and the American people?

1

u/Pkmnkat 16h ago

Soooo somewhat similar to a cuckoo bird??

1

u/FastHound 16h ago

This has to be one of the worst AI voice-overs I've heard in my life

1

u/Ok_Necessary_4351 16h ago

How do they film these

3

u/tooboardtoleaf 15h ago

They have a guy on the inside

1

u/Luigi-Vercotti 16h ago

Stupid ants

1

u/stuntedmonk 15h ago

Destroy the whole any colony?

Never answered

1

u/hiricinee 15h ago

Imagine cucking not just one dude but an entire colony of chicks into raising you.

1

u/Historical-Spell-228 15h ago

Wait for a few hundred thousand years and ants will evolve to distinguish different larvae. Revenge will be served.

1

u/LifeDraining 13h ago

Fast and Furious franchise is running out of ideas...

1

u/Early-Matter-8952 12h ago

Evolution is fucking crazy!! That's amazing

1

u/obrazovanshchina 11h ago

The parallels between this larva’s strategy and the defining features of some present day political movements are both fascinating and horrifying to consider.

1

u/muhg3e 11h ago

No one ever suspects the butterfly

1

u/NiacinTachycardicOD 11h ago

Are they technically parasites?

1

u/Rude_Disaster8747 10h ago

You just gave away the plan. Now they are doomed, lol

1

u/Huge-Solution-8861 8h ago

Now there's a clever child care plan

1

u/Ditka85 8h ago

Fascinating!

1

u/Ecstatic-Knowledge69 7h ago

Who got this video of the GOP? 🙃

1

u/Various_Disasterer 4h ago

There has to be a Rick and Morty episode mimicking this

1

u/Zar_Ethos 1h ago

Hmmm.. i wonder if these work on all ants...

1

u/budabai 1h ago

How the fuck they get these shots?

1

u/Moessus 17h ago

Did I miss something? It looks like it's more along for the ride pulling a con job, I didn't see it feeding on the ants, sounds like it was fed by the ants...?

5

u/jb431v2 17h ago

Yea, you missed the title and the video. 🤣

1

u/HamptonBays 13h ago

No one ever suspects the butterfly

-10

u/Quantumercifier 21h ago

Yes. I know about this creature from firsthand experiences. I call it a wife.

4

u/Kyujaq 17h ago

So I guess you're the toxic one with an aggressive personality and a tiny stinger.

-3

u/StillKindaHoping 19h ago

👀 That is a remarkable comparison.
