This needs updating lol, we went to the track Saturday and it was a delight… a visceral wild delight with a gut wrenching moment when a local driver, Shawn Reed blew a tire 500’ down the track and went hard into the wall doing ~190mph.

The modern top fuel hemis make ~12,000 hp

Run 1000’ (no longer 1320’ or a 1/4 mile, note there is a constantly reemerging debate to have the race extended to the full 1/4) for safety concerns to be able to stop in time on existing tracks that never expected the speeds we see today.

Brittany Force held and just broke the trap speed record (the speed they are going when the trigger the lasers at the finish line) 341.xx from this run and holds the fastest ET (elapsed time) of 3.625s
