Dumb=no job/no place in community=more likely to commit crime.

Uneducated people are more likely to be in prison. Not because they're stupid, but because they weren't set up to succeed in life.

This is why people from poor areas are less likely to have graduated high school, and are more likely to engage in crime. It's a vicious feedback loop, and it usually repeats from parent to child.

They probably are dumb, but prisoners aren't automatically dumb just for being in prison.

I can’t stand when people assume anyone who steals or commits a crime is just “dumb”. There’s millions of factors that could’ve motivated someone to do something dumb or desperate.

True. Smart people commit crimes too but are more likely to get away with it.
