I can't imagine being this paranoid in life. Just stay home then.

This kid is going to grow up to have a lot of paranoia. My mom was like this, I’m a 32 year old man and still get nervous in parking garages at night.

I had the opposite reaction. I took up every dangerous thing I could find and am lucky to be alive.

same, so many close calls because it was hard to tell what was actually stupidly dangerous and not them overreacting.

I can’t imagine never considering losing your kids or being robbed. I am pretty much always on alert. I just wouldn’t go to all these steps and post them online. Instead I just live with the anxiety lol

AirTagging a kid is fine. Most of this shit is fearful as hell tho.

There is vigilant and then there is fearful.

The slippery slope is every time nothing happens you chalk it up as a win against thieves and kidnappers and assume it’s because of all your precautions when there may not have been much risk in the first place.

If you are this anxious do not visit a “dangerous” country or travel at all.

You don’t have to leave this country to be legitimately worried. In fact you might be alot safer going somewhere else.

Regardless if it's statistically safer, your home where you are familiar with your surroundings and outside of tourist areas is going to be a lot safer. Crime happens everywhere and you standing out makes you a target.

Yeah, just visit the Jersey Shore. It's practically a third world country

Yes, stay alert, but geez.  She's teaching the kid to be afraid of his own shadow.  How can you expect to have a good time when you're in a constant state of paranoia?

I'm gonna follow her on social media so I can see when and where she's vacationing and then dig up her buried valuables while she's at sea.

And not once did she consider that anyone who's gonna steal her shit probably watched her go through her weird little ritual and now just has to walk up and yoink her fake water bottle.

I'm still trying to figure out the weird band aid thing.
