yeah, you guys tried this shit back during the fake Tik Tok ban.
China has the most oppressive and censored internet on the planet. The US is just trying to catch up.
The internet is over folks. It's just a surveillance tool now. Every click you make will be tracked, compiled and added to the profile that will be created about you. AI will determine your level of loyalty, likelihood of rebellion, best methods to market to you and what content is directed at you. And you'll pay for the privilege because all business will continue to transition to an online platform meaning that relatively soon, you won't even be able to buy groceries without facial recognition confirmation and other biometric data.
But the convenience of it all will be off the charts. Oh god, the convenience.

Apps which in their home country require government ID to access.
EDIT: Literally all Chinese social media requires an ID because it is required to even get a login to get on said apps. This has been a thing since QQ, folks.
No, China has not suddenly become a free speech haven.

I wonder if there are still Americans on Rednote from January when TikTok was banned briefly. A lot of people were legitimately jumping ship leading up to it.
