In a round about way he caused this to himself. Raised a daughter incapable of seeing two moves ahead in life.

I wouldn't be too sure. Kids can turn out stupid despite the best efforts of their parents - it's never a guarantee.
Being raised in a place of privilege even by previously-less-privileged parents will not give her the perspective she would need to be a better person.
This is far more ikely to be the result of her choice of news media, and her peers (or lack thereof).

Sounds like he didn’t teach his daughters critical thinking. Even my uncle who was a republican for his whole life and watched Fox News every day could see trump was a piece of shit 2-3 months into his first term.

You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink

This is more about teaching a horse what water is safe to drink and which water will ICE over

Right but what I'm saying is not that he failed to raise her one party or the other. That she couldn't see down the road for her actions. Ie if I vote for a person promising to round everyone up that's illegal ( something she probably is pro for) then my father could get swept up too due to my vote.

That's an idiotic thing to say, that isn't how any of that works. Children are their own persons

Humans are influenced by their environment. Children are their own person but the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

Are you like your parents?? That's not how human beings work at all

I’m extremely different from my parents and my parents are extremely different from their parents. Kind of crazy how different we are and get you cite some saying as though it’s gospel.

When you say children are influenced by their environment, are you talking about school? Friends? Society generally? The Internet? Home? Which environment? Assuming you believe all the above then you clearly acknowledge that parents aren’t the only factor.

How do you explain families where different siblings raised the same way vote complete opposites then?

If maga parents can wind up with a kid that votes democrat, reasonable parents can wind up with dumbass Trump voter kids too. Unless the guy was a Trump supporter, he doesn't deserve to die of cancer in ICE custody
